Sydney Sweeney is a golden girl.
The actress, 28, stripped down for W magazine’s “Best Performances” issue, posing in shimmering metallic body paint, a Chopard Haute Joaillerie necklace — and nothing else.
The striking visuals recall Kim Kardashian’s infamous silver body-paint photos from the glossy’s November 2010 issue, which made headlines first for their near-full-frontal exposure of the reality star and, later, for her regretful outcry that she’d been “taken advantage of” by the magazine.
But while Kardashian’s shoot ended in a breakdown on “Kourtney and Kim Take New York,” Sweeney is embracing the glow.
The “Housemaid” star was photographed in soft focus with her arms posed strategically across her chest, with her hair styled in a short, curled bob. Sweeney praised photographer Tyrone Lebon on Instagram, calling him “incredible.”
The magazine photographed 16 stars, including George Clooney, A$AP Rocky and Emma Stone, for the issue’s various covers— though Sweeney is decidedly the least clothed of the bunch.
In the interview, the actress discusses off-screen moments like her “Syd’s Planet”-themed birthday bash, and the pop culture lore behind the shooting-star dress she wore to celebrate (Britney Spears wore the same dress for her 2008 “Circus” album cover).
“We went out of this world. My friends really got into the theme,” she said.
She also recalled her middle school foray into wedge-heel Converse (“I liked sneakers but I felt really short,” she explained. “They were an interesting choice. Sorry, Converse, but they were not it.”)
The “Best Performances” nod comes at a bittersweet moment for the star. Though critics praised her physical transformation in the boxing biopic “Christy,” she was snubbed on the 2026 Golden Globe shortlist.
“The Housemaid,” meanwhile, has become a box-office hit, with a sequel already on the slate.
