In Ice-T’s house, it’s Halloween all the time.
“Our whole family — we’re horror fans,” Ice-T, 66, told Us Weekly exclusively, explaining why he’s obsessed with Terrifier 3. “This pushed the envelope to the point where [9-year-old daughter] Chanel dressed up as one character for Halloween.”
The Terrifier film series, which originally premiered in 2016, is a slasher film telling the story of Art the Clown — and yes, he kills people. Ice-T’s daughter dressed up as her own version of Art in October 2024, per his wife, Coco Austin’s Instagram. The Law and Order: SVU star also took on the role of a killer clown for the holiday. It seems they were all inspired by this seriously scary film.
When it comes to music, which of course Ice-T is well versed in with a prolific rap career under his belt, the performer is a huge fan of The Delfonics.
An old-school group, great music — it’s from back when people actually sang, you know, three-part harmony,” he explained to Us. “It just reminds me of growing up.”
However, Ice-T’s interests go way beyond horror films — and oldies. He also cannot stop watching American Greed.
“It’s a show about white-collar crime and just greedy people,” Ice-T explained to Us. “They take people’s IRA savings, they take old people’s money. They’re cold.”
It’s a miracle Ice-T finds any time to sit down and relax since he’s still starring as Sergeant Odafin “Fin” Tutuola in SVU, a role he’s held since 2000. The show is on season 26 and, according to Ice-T, he has no plans to stop starring in the NBC series.
“I don’t see any reason why SVU can’t go 30 [seasons],” he told Us exclusively in June 2024. “I think the show will stay on as long as Mariska [Hargitay] wants to do the show. It’s her show.”
At the time, the cast was still on a high from their milestone 25th season. Of course, Ice-T is currently well into season 26 with the rest of the cast — and they have a barrage of new viewers.
“I think last season we caught a whole other wind of fans, and everybody got in it, and the ratings were great,” Ice-T also gushed to Us, noting that he’s “very fortunate” that audiences are still watching.
Law & Order: SVU season 26 airs on NBC Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET and is streaming the next day on Peacock.
