Attention all Easties!
Sushidan, the restaurant known for its $1.90 sushi and $19.90 omakase sets, is coming near you very soon.
The Tokyo-born brand will be opening its second Singapore outlet at Parkway Parade on Sept 5.
Roughly half the size of its Raffles City outlet, the 35-seater outpost will be located on the mall’s first floor and similarly offer a-la-carte sushi from $1.99, sashimi from $2.99, hand rolls from $3.99 and omakase sets starting from $19.90.
In celebration of its opening, Sushidan will also be running an uni (sea urchin) promotion from Sept 5 to 30.
Diners at Sushidan Parkway Parade who order any omakase course will be able to add 30g of Hokkaido Murasaki uni served with toasted seaweed to their meal for $18.80 (U.P. $38.80).
The uni variety may rotate depending on seasonality and availability. This deal is exclusive to the Parkway Parade branch, while stocks last.
Sushidan was founded in 2020 by Japanese Michelin starred chef Hiroyuki Sato, who is also behind high-end Tokyo sushi restaurant Hakkoku.
It specialises in Edomae-style sushi — which involves the flavours of seafood being enhanced through preservation techniques such as curing or marinating.

Sushidan made its first overseas debut with its outlet in Raffles City, helmed by sushi master Chef Yusuke Kawana who has nearly three decades of experience.
The restaurant gets seafood flown in directly from Tokyo’s Toyosu Market, as well as fresh salmon from Norway.
It also uses red vinegar from Kyoto and premium rice from Akita to prepare its signature Red Shari rice.
AsiaOne has reached out to Sushidan for more information regarding its new opening.
