Border 2: The makers of Border 2 have officially unveiled the much-awaited teaser today, December 16, on Vijay Diwas, making the day a powerful mix of cinema, nationalism, and fan delight. The teaser release, which takes place on the day when India achieved victory in the 1971 war, is being promoted as an event of national celebration rather than just a commercial one; it is aimed at recognising the courage and sacrifice of the lives of Indian soldiers.

The teaser launch event is one of the most ambitious teaser unveilings in recent times, with extensive preparation already underway.

Sunny will return as Major Kuldip Singh again from the 1997 movie Border. The teaser begins with Sunny Deol’s voice over as Varun, Diljit and Ahan seen fighting for their country as soldiers. It is intriguing and moves to the war zone. It also shows glimpses of Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Paramvir Cheema.

The celebration centred on Mumbai, where fans were among the first to see the Border 2 teaser on the big screen. The city planned a huge celebration with beautifully reconstructed battlefield scenes based on the film’s depictions of combat zones. The setting gave a very authentic experience with trenches and bunkers, plus militaristic patterns, enabling the audience to get a taste of Border 2’s universe even before the teaser was out.

Yesterday, December 15, T-series official X handle shared the teaser reveal announcement. It captioned it as, “The wait ends tomorrow with the year’s most-anticipated teaser, at 1:30 PM IST.#Border2 in cinemas 23rd January, 2026.”

The most-awaited Border 2 featuring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljith Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty is set to hit the theatres on January 23, ahead of the Republic Day. The war-drama will also have Sonam Bajwa, Mona Singh, Medha Rana and Paramvir Cheema in important roles.
