Kyle Cooke’s beverage brand, Loverboy, is on the brink of bankruptcy.
The “Summer House” star founded the business in 2018 and brought his now-estranged wife, Amanda Batula, on board as the brand’s senior design and creative director.
But after the pair announced their split in January, Batula — who is now dating their mutual co-star West Wilson — revealed that the exes don’t have a prenup, sparking speculation about the failing company’s fate.
The Loverboy topic came up on last night’s “Summer House” episode, which was filmed months before Batula, 34, and Cooke, 43, officially called it quits on their four-year marriage.
During a conversation with co-star Carl Radke — who also used to work for Loverboy — Cooke shared troubling news about his business.
“Last month, before our loan payment, we lost $175,000, and our loan payment is $50,000 every month,” he admitted.
When Radke asked Cooke what would happen if he couldn’t find another business partner in the next few months, the businessman replied, “Loverboy goes bankrupt.”
“At our current rate, that would give us three [months]. I’m out here trying to have fun, and I have three months to live,” Cooke explained. “Bro, it’s like the most stressful thing you can imagine. I don’t think Amanda even understands or appreciates, like, the current state of affairs.”
Later in the episode, Batula admitted she was “in limbo” and felt “numb” to Cooke’s financial troubles.
“But, we have separate bank accounts. Like, even when we got married, it never became a partnership,” she stated.
“It’s always been him, he does his thing, and, like, then I do mine. But I know, like, whatever’s happening right now is not good.”
Batula alleged to a producer that Cooke didn’t consult her when he took out a recent small business loan to save Loverboy.
“This man’s an entrepreneur, he’s a businessman, he went to business school. Like, why would I ever question his business decisions, ever? I don’t know anything. I know nothing,” she said.
During the March 24 episode, Cooke revealed that he lined up a call with an investor to discuss Loverboy’s current cash reserves, which he said would last “six months at most.”
“To save my business, I had to put $500,000 in,” Cooke went on. “Oh, by the way, I stopped paying myself a salary at Loverboy, so that’s one of the reasons I started DJing, to pay the bills.”
Cooke also elaborated on why he didn’t invest in Radke’s business, Soft Bar, admitting that Loverboy is “in the worst place we’ve ever been.”
“I’m doing my best not to have to lay people off,” Cooke added, “and so instead of literally firing my whole entire team, I put $500,000 up to cover payroll.”
Last month, Batula appeared on Jason Tartick’s “Trading Secrets” podcast and confirmed that she hadn’t worked at LoverBoy “in a while.”
She also promised that she has no plans to take the company from Cooke in their divorce.
“That’s his baby,” she said. “I’m not gonna steal something that he’s put his heart and soul into and worked so hard on. So I’m not taking half the business.”
Batula shared the same sentiment when she was on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” on Feb. 3.
“That’s his baby, that’s his bread and butter,” she said. “That man’s worked harder on that business than he did our relationship.”
Cohen then responded, “You worked hard on that business,” as her co-star and best friend at the time, Ciara Miller, agreed.
On Tuesday, Batula broke the internet when she and Wilson, 31, issued a joint statement confirming their secret “connection” following weeks of speculation and mounting evidence.
Miller, 30, previously dated Wilson for several months in 2023. Miller has also been overly supportive of Batula in her drama with Cooke.
Minutes after Batula and Wilson posted their shocking statement, Miller was photographed slumped over on a NYC sidewalk being comforted by an unidentified male companion.
Cooke, meanwhile, has not directly spoken out about his estranged wife’s new romance.
However, insiders did tell Page Six that the “Summer House” cast is “pissed” and “disappointed” over the bombshell news.
