After the fireworks of the summer, the season comes to an end with a sleepy weekend at the box office, at least in terms of new entries like By Any Means and Onslaught. Sony and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to be No. 1 for its sixth weekend in a row, with roughly $22 million over the four-day frame. The Destin Daniel Cretton-directed feature just crossed $900 million domestically, making it only the second film ever to do so, behind 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which stands as the all-time domestic holder at $936 million.
