Reality star Stephanie Pratt is asking Los Angeles not to make her brother Spencer Pratt their next mayor.
Spencer announced his plans to run for LA’s top office after losing his family’s home in the Palisades fire last year in a campaign touting him as incumbent Karen Bass ‘worst nightmare.’
The disaster was devastating for the entire Pratt family – not only was Spencer’s residence destroyed, but his parents’ home was also burnt down.
While Spencer has been calling for accountability over the fire ever since, Stephanie tore into his campaign on X on Valentine’s Day, calling a ballot cast for him a ‘vote for stupidity.’
‘Spencer has done great work for the palisades. But LA does not need another unqualified and inexperienced mayor. A vote for him is a vote for stupidity,’ she tweeted on Saturday.
The duo have had a strained relationship for years, and in 2019 Stephanie said she was no longer on speaking terms with her brother and sister-in-law.

‘We are not on good terms. We are not on speaking terms. I do not consider them my family,’ she told People of her brother and sister-in-law.
Two years later, Spencer said his sister still wasn’t a part of his or his family’s life.
It’s not entirely clear if they are no longer talking but Stephanie did recently praise her brother in his efforts advocating for their heartbroken community and calling for accountability.
‘Wednesday Spencer was honored for his never-ending work for our town & today I bumped into him shopping! I was so shocked, I asked a stranger to take my photo in front of it (laughing crying emojis). Very cool Spencer! Everyone was so excited to talk about you when I went in Kitson,’ she posted to Instagram.
Spencer announced his campaign on the one year anniversary of the fires last month at the They Let Us Burn! protest.
‘The system in Los Angeles isn’t struggling, it’s fundamentally broken. It is a machine designed to protect the people at the top and the friends they exchange favors with while the rest of us drown in toxic smoke and ash,’ Spencer said. ‘Business as usual is a death sentence for Los Angeles, and I’m done waiting for someone to take real action.
‘That’s why I am running for mayor. And let me be clear, this just isn’t a campaign, this is a mission, and we’re gonna expose the system.
‘They intentionally let us burn before, during and after. There was no accountability. It was gross negligence. They let this happen.
