Sophie Turner is sharing lessons that she’s seemingly learned with her social media followers.

“Life, really, is just a series of endings and beginnings. On a loop,” read an anonymous message shared via text, which 29-year-old Turner posted to her Instagram Stories Friday, December 12. “Every up and down comes at a point in this cycle. Perhaps embracing the start of something new must be balanced with accepting the reality of something coming to an end.”

The message continued, “The sooner we realize this — and welcome it — the better we process our experiences and we see life is working for us not against us. Adversity (emotional, physical or psychological) brings strength of character of the next challenge.”

The statement concluded with advice about embracing one’s next chapter.

“As you feel the heaviness of an ending, remember that the joy of a new beginning is just around the corner,” the note added.

While Turner did not reveal the identity of the text sender or why the message appeared to resonate with her, the actress has been in a period of transition. Turner and ex-husband Joe Jonas finalized their divorce last year.

“I’m going through a legal process right now where I can’t really say much, but it was incredibly sad,” Turner previously said of her separation during a 2024 interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “We had a beautiful relationship, and it was hard.”

In light of the breakup, Turner relocated from the United States to her native England.

“I’m so happy to be back. It felt as if my life was on pause until I returned to England,” she told the outlet. “I just never really feel like myself when I’m not in London, with my friends and family. I was away for so long — six years — and it was when my friends were getting engaged, and when I got pregnant. I went for dinner with someone the other day, and she said, I never got to touch your belly. We didn’t have those key experiences with each other.”

In Turner and Jonas’ divorce decree, they agreed to share custody of their two daughters. According to the British actress, it is “absolute agony” whenever she doesn’t have her kids with her at home.

“[Becoming a mother] changed me so much in every way. Before I had kids, I was very depressed and anxious, and I would isolate a lot,” Turner told Harper’s Bazaar. “Now, I think I live my life for them. I want them to see me having a social life and enjoying work and thriving in my career and relationships.”

She continued, “I want them to see a hard-working mum. I’ll come back and say, ‘This is why Mummy was away. It’s because she’s doing this for you, so Father Christmas can come with a big bundle of presents.’”

Turner moved on that same year with aristocrat Peregrine “Perry” Pearson before they called it quits this fall. She has recently been linked to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

“They have gone out on a few dates in London,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly last month. “It is still very new, but they have a lot of chemistry, and there’s a definite spark between them.”
