Nick Reiner smirked while appearing in court for his arraignment on charges of murdering his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner.
The 32-year-old was seen with sunken eyes, a shaved head and facial hair while stepping out to Los Angeles’ Stanley Mosk Courthouse on Wednesday morning.
He attended the hearing while wearing a brown jumpsuit and shackled behind a glass wall with his attorneys.
Nick darted looks from the gallery, where family, media and lawyers sat, a reporter for The Post noted.
At one point, he lowered his head, appearing exhausted.
The filmwriter’s arraignment was delayed once again, with his attorney, Alan Jackson, quitting ahead of the hearing.
“We would ask to withdraw as counsel of record,” the criminal defense lawyer told the judge. “We have no choice but to withdraw and ask to be relieved.”
Kimberly Greene, a Los Angeles public defender, will now represent Nick.
His new arraignment date is scheduled for Feb. 23.
“Uh, yeah, I agree with that,” Nick told the judge before being escorted out of the courtroom.
Nick is currently behind bars at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility, where he is awaiting trial for the Dec. 14 murders of Rob and Michele.
The legendary director, who was 78, and his 70-year-old wife were found dead from stab wounds in their Brentwood, Calif., home.
The night before their deaths, Rob had a heated argument with Nick, who was diagnosed with schizophrenia, at Conan O’Brien’s Christmas party, a source confirmed to The Post.
Nick was arrested hours after his parents’ bodies were discovered and charged with first-degree murder. He faces life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty.
Rob and Michele were also the parents of Jake, 34, and Romy Reiner, 28.
