Serayah McNeill, star of Empire and Ruth & Boaz, has signed with Kensington Grey for representation.

McNeill played Hakeem’s ex Tiana Brown in the role of a rising star singer on the Fox drama for five seasons to 2020, having been promoted from a recurring to a regular role in the second season. She also starred in the lead role of Ruth Moably in the Netflix film Ruth & Boaz, a modern retelling the biblical love story from producers DeVon Franklin and Tyler Perry.

“I’m excited to partner with Kensington Grey. As an industry force, I’ve been a fan of the work that they’ve done and the impact they’ve made. I truly believe they’ll help take both me and my brand to new heights in this next chapter of my career,” McNeill said in a statement on Monday.

Her other credits include True Story, BMF, Lucky Girl, Robbin, Best Friend, Burning Sands and the BET+ drama Kingdom Business. Kensington Grey will be looking to drive new opportunities for McNeill in film, TV and branded content.

Shannae Ingleton-Smith, founder and CEO of the talent agency, added in her own statement: “We’re proud to welcome Serayah to Kensington Grey. She’s the definition of a true multi-hyphenate who embodies the multidimensional creativity we actively seek out and champion. We’re excited to build with her in this next chapter and help unlock what’s next across every lane she plans to step into.”

McNeill was also a back-up performer in Taylor Swift’s iconic “Bad Blood” video and, also as a music artist, has just released an EP, Archives, as her vocalist and songwriting career grows.

She is also an advocate for mental health and personal self-worth as she serves as a board member for Deserving Love, a nonprofit she co-founded with her mother to empower women and young girls.

McNeill continues to be represented by Formation Talent for TV and film projects.
