Shannon Beador showed a startling photo of her bloodied face after getting into a car accident that led to her arrest for driving under the influence in September 2023.
In a preview for Thursday’s premiere of the “Real Housewives of Orange County” Season 18, the reality TV star sits down with co-star Heather Dubrow for an emotional conversation about the ordeal.
Beador, 60, claims that, moments before the accident, she had been at ex-boyfriend John Janssen’s house when they got into an argument over him calling her a “drunken idiot.”
“I got in the car, lost control,” she confesses.
An emotional Beador then pulls out a selfie from the night of the accident that showed one of her eyes bloodied and bruised. Blood could also be seen covering half of her face and running down her neck.
“Oh, Shannon! Oh my God!” a stunned Dubrow, 55, says with a gasp before putting her hand over her face.
Beador’s accident seems to be a hot topic on the upcoming season as the preview clip also shows her fellow “Housewives” talking about her alcohol intake behind her back.
In one conversation, Beador tells Emily Simpson she is a “two drink max person right now.” At the time, Simpson asks her if she would ever “choose sobriety” but Beador doubles down on her claim that she does not drink “that often.”
During another conversation between Dubrow and Tamra Judge, the latter blunty asks the former if she thinks Beador “has, like, an alcohol problem.”
“Yeah, I do,” Dubrow confesses.
The preview also shows a group dinner where Beador emotionally reflects on how she thinks “about what happened” every morning. However, Judge cuts her off to ask her, “Is that after you have a drink?”
“I’m done with people saying I’m the drunk that needs help, because I am not. I had a really bad night. I want to walk out right now, because I’m ruining my makeup, so I gotta walk out,” Beador says in a confessional before leaving the hot seat.
In September 2023, Beador made headlines when she crashed her car into the side of the road before driving off. After cops managed to track her down, she was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and hit-and-run
She was subsequently sentenced to three years of probation, 40 hours of community service and a nine-month alcohol program.
“The Real Housewives of Orange County” Season 18 premieres July 11 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.
