During the promotion of Sikandar, Salman Khan flaunted his Ram Mandir watch, which sparked both reactions and controversy. Maulana Razvi has criticised the actor for the same, and called it illegal as per their religious beliefs.
Maulana Rizvi told PTI, “I have been asked about Shariat’s ruling about Salman Khan. I tell you the Shariat’s ruling about the work done by him, that he is wearing a Ram Edition watch made for the promotion of Ram Mandir. Wearing such a watch in hand being a Muslim is illegal and haram.”
“Salman Khan is a famous personality of India. He has millions of fans and he is also a Muslim. If any Muslim, even if it is Salman Khan, is promoting the Ram Mandir or any other non-Muslim thing, it is considered illegal and haram. I urge Salman Khan to follow the principles of Shariat,” Maulana Rizvi added.
Meanwhile, according to reports, the watch costs a whopping amount of Rs 34 lakh. Coming to Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss, the movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Sathyaraj and will hit theatres on March 30. Reports state that Salman Khan starrer has sold over Rs 80,000 tickets in the three major national theatre chains on its first day.
