Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo were spotted hugging at the Grammys 2025, seemingly putting their alleged years-long feud behind them.
Rodrigo was seen crouching down to talk to Carpenter at her table before they embraced during Sunday’s star-studded awards show, per a video posted to X.
The two pop stars continued to engage in conversation before the clip ended.
The sweet interaction between the “Espresso” songstress, 25, and the “Good 4 U” singer, 21, made fans hopeful that the duo would collaborate in the future.
“OMG THEY’RE GOING TO WORK IT OUT ON THE REMIX!” one person commented on the post, while another chimed in, “the world is HEALING. I used to pray for moments like these.”
“Not even exaggerating when I say this is the greatest peace treaty in history,” a third user gushed in response.
The Disney Channel alums’ alleged beef began after Rodrigo started dating her “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” co-star Joshua Bassett in 2019.
The following year, Carpenter was spotted with the actor, now 24, at a Black Lives Matter protest in June 2020 and then again out to lunch that August, per People.
In 2021, Rodrigo released her hit song “Drivers License,” which was rumored to be about Bassett’s romance with the “Please Please Please” singer.
“And you’re probably with that blonde girl / Who always made me doubt,” Rodrigo sings on the track. “She’s so much older than me / She’s everything I’m insecure about.”
Carpenter seemingly clapped back at Rodrigo on her 2021 song “Skin.”
“Maybe we could’ve been friends / If I met you in another life / Maybe then we could pretend / There’s no gravity in the words we write / Maybe you didn’t mean it / Maybe blonde was the only rhyme / The only rhyme,” she sings.
Carpenter — who called it quits with Bassett in 2021 — later denied writing “Skin” about Rodrigo in a since-deleted social media post.
The “Taste” singer went on to spark romance rumors with Shawn Mendes in 2023 and then date Barry Keoghan, whom she split from in late 2024 after a year together.
As for Rodrigo, she dated Adam Faze and Zack Bia before moving on with current boyfriend Louis Partridge, whom she was first spotted with in October 2023.
Meanwhile, Carpenter had a big night at this year’s Grammys, taking home the awards for best pop solo performance for “Espresso” and best pop vocal album for “Short n’ Sweet.”
