Sabrina Carpenter had a full circle moment with Miley Cyrus, 32, at the 67th Grammy Awards.
The two pop stars were pictured in conversation at the ceremony in Los Angeles and they posed for photos together.
But that wasn’t the first time Sabrina and Miley met.
When the Espresso singer – who channeled Marilyn Monroe on the red carpet – was 10, she entered a contest sponsored by Miley’s Hannah Montana era website Miley’s World.
Sabrina, 25, was one of the top four finishers in the Are You a Superstar contest, which included a talent component.
She won front row seats to the Flowers singer’s Wonder Tour in Philadelphia as well as a meet and greet with Miley.

Sabrina was just 10 years old and in the fifth grade at the time. She’s talked about that moment before, mentioning her regret over the fedora she chose to wear.
She was the youngest of the contestants that won and it made a big impression on her.
‘I was kind of starstruck,’ a young Carpenter told the Morning Call newspaper at the time. ‘It was a really awesome experience.’
And Miley, as it turns out, was an inspiration for young Sabrina.
‘She told me I was doing awesome in the contest,’ Carpenter explained. ‘I wish I could do it all over again. It was really cool.’
When she met with Miley, Sabrina was working on the next stage in the contest. She recorded a video of herself singing a song from a ‘favorite diva.’
While she was waiting for the results, she told the outlet, ‘I think I have a really good chance,’ she said.
‘Hopefully someday maybe at a little girl’s birthday party they’ll have my music on. That would just be an awesome feeling.’

She ultimately placed third overall in the contest which had 7,000 competitors.
Sabrina had a triumphant night from her glamorous red carpet arrival to her peppy performance to taking home two Grammy Awards.
She won Best pop solo performance for Espresso and Best pop vocal album for Short n’ Sweet. These were Sabrina’s first Grammy wins.
The Please Please Please singer looked like a dream as she arrived on the Grammy red carpet.
She channeled Cinderella in a custom blue backless gown with feather detail by JW Anderson.
Sabrina accessorized with a long string of 19 carats of Chopard diamonds trailing down her exposed back.
There was an 18-carat white old sautoir ending in the huge D-flawless brilliant cut gemstone from Chopard’s Garden of Kalahari Collection. The estimated cost of the necklace is $1M.
And that wasn’t Sabrina’s only bling accessory because her look – which was styled by Jared Ellner – also included pear-shaped diamond earrings and a 10.10-carat oval brilliant diamond ring from the same jeweler.

When she won her Best Pop Vocal album, Sabrina was shocked to take it ahead of ‘some of [her] favorite artists in the world.’
She was nominated alongside Ariana Grande’s Eternal Sunshine, Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department, Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess and Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft.
She said: ‘Hello. I’m still out of breath from the performance so I really was not expecting this.
‘All those nominees on the screen are some of my favourite artists in the world. This is my first Grammy, so, woo, I’m gonna cry. I wrote names so I wouldn’t forget on this napkin.
‘Thank you to the Recording Academy for having me and everyone here tonight,’ she said. And in celebration and in honor of everything that’s happened, it’s lucky to be able to come together and do something so special and beautiful and celebrate music.
‘I wanna thank my fans who let my music be heard by the Recording Academy. I want to thank my mom for driving me to every voice lesson, and I want to thank my dad and my sisters. I want to thank my team, Ireland Records.
‘What the hell. Thank you, this is so special to me and Short and Sweet means the world.
‘Thank you to all the producers and writers who made this album… I love you guys, you have no idea how much I love you and how much this album means to me.’
