Roxy Jacenko has revealed how she gained 18kg after moving to Singapore in 2023 with her husband Oliver Curtis and their two children.

The 44-year-old entrepreneur settled in to the Southeast Asian country in July last year after selling her family mansion in Sydney’s Vaucluse and shutting down some of her businesses.

She revealed on The Lazy CEO Podcast with Jane Lu, she stacked on the kilos after relocating because of her lifestyle changes.

Roxy explained she spent most of her time eating, drinking and going shopping and this led to an 18kg weight gain.

‘Housewifery was not for me. I just shopped and shopped. It was the most boring existence,’ Roxy, who announced her return to PR in September, said.

‘I consumed 18kgs of alcohol in a year and realised this is not for me so I got back to work.’

She also discussed the terrifying moment she overdosed on Ozempic in an effort to lose weight.

Roxy revealed she’d taken four times the recommended dosage before she suffered from severe vomiting and non-stop shaking.

‘I put so much weight on. I would have to undo my jeans when I sat in the car so I got sucked in by it,’ she explained.

‘I bought it, I tried it. I took four times the amount in the first go.’

Roxy continued by saying she’s ‘so sick of people’ who deny using Ozempic, adding: ‘I call a spade a spade on my platform and I don’t care.’

Roxy has also told Daily Mail Australia she has managed to maintain her weight loss by doing daily contrast therapy which involves taking baths in warm and cold water.

She also revealed she eats one meal a day and has a AG1 supplement every morning.

Roxy also completes a 45 minute workout on the treadmill per day at speed 6 and rolling hills, while also doing low weight exercises.

She said she only drinks alcohol on the weekend if she has an occasion and limits herself to two drinks.

The PR Queen previously said she thought she was going to ‘die’ after taking one milligram of diabetic treatment Ozempic, which was four times the amount prescribed to her by a doctor.

‘I thought I was actually going to die. I have had cancer, radiation therapy, all of that. It doesn’t even compare to how bad I felt when I took this drug,’ she told The Saturday Telegraph.

‘For the first 12 hours I was OK. I vomited four times that morning, once in a hire car, and I went to work.’

Roxy revealed she then suffered from severe vomiting and non-stop ‘epilepsy type’ shaking which landed her in a drug overdose clinic for three days.

‘I called an ambulance. An ambulance was going to be an hour away but I thought I was going to die. I went to St Vincent’s,’ she said.

Roxy has since put out a warning to all who are tempted to use Hollywood’s latest quick-fix weight loss drug.

She said using the drug was ‘pathetic’ and ‘silly’, and called for celebrities to stop lying about not using it to shed kilos.

Ozempic has been a hot topic in Hollywood with stars either admitting to using the diabetes drug for weight loss or staunchly denying it.

Semaglutide is sold under the brand names Ozempic and Rybelsus as an antidiabetic medication used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.

It is also sold under the brand name Wegovy as an anti-obesity medication for long-term weight management.

The drugs act like a hormone in the brain which causes people to feel less hungry and slow the clearing of food from the stomach, which spurs weight loss.

Ozempic and Wegovy have surged in popularity since becoming the first drugs proven to aid weight loss.

Celebrities including Elon Musk, Remi Bader, Chelsea Handler and Amy Schumer revealed they used the drug to help trim fat.
