Romeo Beckham took a sartorial leaf out of his fashion conscious father’s book on Friday while attending a Gucci catwalk presentation at Milan Fashion Week.

The model conjured images of David in his mid-noughties prime while making a front row appearance at Palazzo Delle Scintille, where the Italian fashion house was previewing its latest fall-winter womenswear collection.

Opting for a collarless white jacket, vest and lightweight, loose-fitting trousers, Romeo, 23, appeared to be a chip off the old block while rubbing shoulders with guests including Canadian singer Sean Mendes.

Flanked by Mendes and celebrated designer Donatella Versace, the model watched Friday’s presentation from the front row after making his own catwalk appearance on behalf of British heritage brand Burberry just four days earlier, at London Fashion Week.

A star-studded affair, Kate Moss, Demi Moore and Emily Ratajkowski were among the those who walked for Gucci in the Italian fashion capital’s Piazza Sei Febbraio.

Catwalk veteran Moss, 52, ensured all eyes would be on her as she hit the runway in a backless dress which plunged so low that it flashed her thong.

The Beckham’s have a colourful and occasionally questionable history with Gucci – notably David and Victoria, whose wore matching leather outfits from the brand in 1999

The supermodel, who went braless in the garment, gave onlookers a glimpse of her incredible figure as she sauntered up and down the catwalk.

Gucci’s branded thong has become a cult fashion item and has been worn by the likes of Hailey Bieber and Kim Kardashian.

It first appeared in the runway as part of Tom Ford’s Spring/Summer 1997 collection for Gucci and is actually part of a bikini set.

Elsewhere, Hollywood star Moore, 63, debuted a wavy bob hairstyle that accentuated her chiseled cheekbones.

The mother-of-three opted for all black at the fashion show, pairing a fitted jacket with flared skintight trousers and heels.

As has become tradition, Moore was joined by her micro Chihuahua Pilaf, who she cradled as she posed for snaps at the show.

The actress and her pet pooch settled into the FROW as they watched the models go by, including Ratajkowski, who dazzled in an eye-catching ensemble.

The Gone Girl star, 34, looked incredible in a skintight glittering silver dress that showed off her tanned and toned pins and ample cleavage.

The Beckham’s have a long, colourful and occasionally questionable history with Gucci – notably David and Victoria, whose decision to wear matching leather outfits from the brand while attending a Versace event in 1999 still comes back to haunt them.

Reflecting on the divisive look during an appearance on US show Watch What Happens Live in 2022, Victoria said: ‘I mean it haunts me. It does haunt me, but I love it.

‘It was hot. We were wearing Gucci. It was a Versace dinner, which is inappropriate in itself. But, you know, we really considered those outfits.

‘I mean we really talked about it. There was a naivete to it that was just so sweet.’

In December 2022, speaking in Vogue Visionaries Victoria fondly reminisced of the look: ‘Myself and David turning up to a Versace event in matching Gucci leather […] wearing the wrong designer, but you know, owning it.

‘Listen, everyone wants to show me them [the images], and everyone wants to know what I think of them.

‘Back then, I didn’t know any better. I didn’t know the fashion industry. So there was something so sweet and naive about the fact I didn’t care. I just expressed myself in that way.’

Yet matching outfits certainly wasn’t a one time thing, with the couple also matching up at the MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles in 2003 as they both opted for matching white.
