Robert Irwin was left red-faced as he reacted to racy fan comments on his Instagram page this week.

During an interview with comedian Jimmy Rees, the celebrity conservationist, 21, read the comment section of his recent post out loud.

Jimmy asked Robert whether he ever responds to fans, before telling him to react to comments under a recent smouldering photo shoot with Stellar magazine.

‘I don’t really look at comments, especially not for something like this,’ Robert said.

He then read the comments out loud, with one fan writing: ‘Dude is out here fishing with dynamite, it’s just not fair lol.’

‘Holy moly. I’m 71 years old,’ another said while a third wrote: ‘I’ve never wanted to be a crocodile so bad before.’

‘Anyone else just realise they’re a cougar,’ another commented.

A red-faced Robert jokingly responded: ‘Like the animal? That’s what they’re talking about right.’

‘Oh my gosh I’m gone. I’m redder than this,’ Robert added pointing at a red lounge.

‘And that is why I don’t look at my comments.’

It comes after Robert landed in South African earlier this month to film the new season of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

The TV host made the trip with his mother Terri Irwin, amid claims the 60-year-old matriarch stopped him from bringing his new girlfriend into the jungle.

But the mother and son were all smiles on Robert’s social media.

Posting to his stories, Robert and Terri could be seen posing in the cockpit of their plane after it landed safely in South Africa.

‘Thanks for a great flight,’ the Gold Logie nominee captioned the snap, which also included two of the plane’s crew members.

Robert also included some ‘sightseeing’ video filmed from his car as it travelled through bushland in the Instagram.

The footage included images of the local wildlife, including a warthog and a herd of zebras.

At one point, the photogenic zookeeper could be seen carrying a small tortoise to safety after it wandered into traffic.

‘Helping this little dude cross the road,’ Robert explained in the caption, as he can be ‘rescuing’ the creature.
