Rob Reiner made history with his posthumous Emmys 2026 win on Sunday, breaking a record held by his father. The late actor, notably, was honored with the award for Best Guest Actor in a Comedy for his performance as Albert on the “The Bear.” Reiner, who died in December 2025, last took home the trophy for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for “All in the Family” in 1978. The 48 years between his wins means he holds the record for the longest gap between Emmy acting wins — a title that previously belonged to his dad, Carl Reiner. There were 37 years between Carl winning for “Caesar’s Hour” in 1958 and “Mad About You” in 1995….
