Rihanna brought her two young sons, RZA and Riot, to their dad A$AP Rocky’s gun assault trial because it “could’ve been the last time” he’d see them.

During an interview on “The Breakfast Club” Monday, the “Fashion Killa” rapper’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, dispelled claims that the “Work” singer was trying to garner “sympathy” with the family trip to court.

“People were thinking it was a ploy, like some sort of maneuver to get the jury to feel sympathy. The jury’s not feeling sympathy,” he said.

“They know he has a wife and kids,” the attorney added, though the couple aren’t legally married.

Tacopina, 58, explained that Rihanna, 37, chose to bring RZA, 2, and Riot, 1, to court “because it was the last day of the trial.”

“She brought them to court because that could’ve been the last time he’d seen his kids for a decade or more,” he told “Breakfast Club” hosts DJ Envy, Charlamagne that God and Loren Lorosa.

“That’s why she brought them. The prosecutor made a big deal of it in his summation, which I think was a fatal mistake.”

On Feb. 13, the pop star arrived at a criminal courthouse in Los Angeles in a black truck while holding her eldest son in her arms.

An unidentified woman also got out of the black truck holding Riot before they all walked into the courtroom together.

Closing arguments for Rocky’s trial were set to begin that day.

The “F**kin’ Problems” emcee, born Rakim Mayers, was charged in August 2022 for allegedly pulling a gun and shooting at his former friend A$AP Relli, whose real name is Terell Ephron, in November 2021.

Five days later, a jury found Rocky, 36, not guilty on two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm in the shooting of his former pal.

Following the verdict, Rihanna and her beau celebrated his victory with dinner at the private social club Gravitas in Beverly Hills, Calif.

A source exclusively told Page Six that the pair was joined by Tacopina, the Fenty Beauty founder’s manager, Jay Brown, and entertainment lawyer Damien Granderson as they sipped on wine and champagne.

Rihanna, who appeared in court several times to support her boyfriend, has been dating Rocky since 2020.

They welcomed RZA and Riot in May 2022 and August 2023, respectively.
