Vacations may be fun, but packing for them can be stressful — especially when it comes to footwear.

If you’re headed to a big city (or anywhere you plan to log lots of steps), your chosen shoes have to be comfortable enough for long days on your feet, versatile enough to work with multiple outfits, and stylish enough to work for fancy meals, theater performances or whatever else might be on your itinerary.

That’s why, while putting together outfits for a five-day trip to France last summer, I immediately reached for my Reformation Bethany Ballet Flats. Having worn them for many a workday and weekend outing at home in NYC, I knew they’d hold up to miles of pounding the Parisian pavement with no problems.

Indeed, I wore my Bethanys for a marathon 20,000-step day that included a stop at the Eiffel Tower, a trip to the Musée d’Orsay and even a trek to the Fondation Louis Vuitton; the shoes didn’t miss a beat.

And right now, they’re almost $100 off thanks to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, which is brimming with fantastic fashion, footwear and beauty deals.

While I bought the flats in black nappa leather, you can choose from three on-sale options at Nordstrom: black suede, tan suede or ivory leather. (The latter’s already sold out in multiple sizes, likely because white flats are a major summer trend.)

As seen on stars like Aubrey Plaza and Alix Earle, Bethanys run true to size and feature an adjustable buckle for a little added shine (and security).

“I like everything about those shoes!” one Nordstrom shopper wrote of the “very flattering” flats. “They are very comfortable, breezy [and look] good with different outfits. I personally sized up for comfort.”

Added a second, “I’ve never owned a pair of flats because I always find them to be uncomfortable. These are so light and comfy and changed my idea of ballet flats. I have never gotten a blister either. They are also great quality. And I get a ton of compliments on them.”

The hardest part might be picking just one color.
