Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis has been spotted out in public for the first time since his one-time girlfriend, actress Ione Skye publicly revealed that she was left to terminate their unborn child alone at 17.

The rocker, 62, was snapped earlier this week in Malibu while grabbing a green juice with a much younger, blonde lady friend.

Exclusive DailyMail.com photos show the pair walking out with their healthy smoothies in hand, before getting into a baby blue golf cart and driving off.

Kiedis looked casual in a red graphic sweatshirt, black sweatpants, sneakers, and a gray hoodie. His glam mystery date looked more put together in a tan jacket, blue jeans, and trendy boots.

The sighting comes days after Kiedis’s relationship with Skye in the 1980s was thrust back in the spotlight after the release of her new memoir.

The Good Girls and La Brea star was just 16 when she started dating the lead vocalist who at 24 was eight years her senior.

In her book, Say Everything, Skye, now 54, revealed Kiedis paid for her abortion after she became pregnant with his child at 17, but was left to undergo the procedure at the clinic alone.

Explaining her decision to not keep the baby, she wrote: ‘I was the type of girl who’d wanted a baby since I was a baby, who used to fantasize about finding a swaddled infant on my doorstep or catching a flying ghost baby with a butterfly net.

‘But fantasizing was different from seeing. I couldn’t see having a baby at this point.’

She went on to say of Kiedis: ‘He seemed to think that by paying for me to have the termination at a nice Beverly Hills doctor’s office instead of Planned Parenthood he was being a mensch.

‘He hadn’t offered to be with me today, just guiltily dropped me off at the curb,’ Skye claimed.

‘To say nothing of the fact that after our AIDS scare, and the supposed new lease on life he’d gotten with the negative test result, he’d gone on using needles and having unprotected sex with me. And I’d consented to that.

It is unclear if Kiedis’s companion is a new romantic partner or just a friend, though the rock singer is known to date younger women

‘Other people in our group had unsafe sex and they were fine, I kept telling myself, using my teenage reasoning. Of course, I could see how irresponsible we were being.

‘Whether Anthony could see it too, he obviously wasn’t ready to grow up, to take care of himself and others, to make real adult choices.

‘Anthony wasn’t yet strong enough for all this. But I was the girl – I had to be,’ she said.

Despite opening up about the relationship in her memoir, Skye confirmed that she didn’t talk to Kiedis about it beforehand.

‘I stay in touch with his mother, but not with him,’ she told People. ‘I’m very curious about what he’ll think – he and my father.’

Skye has since revealed that Kiedis wrote her a lengthy letter following their split and apologized for how he had treated her.

Skye, now 54, opens up about their romance in her tell-all book, entitled Say Everything, published on March 4. The two began dating when she was 16 and he was 24

‘It was very thorough, really amazing. It actually did a lot to be honest,’ she told The Mirror US last week.

She went on to describe it as ‘really heartfelt and honest,’ and claimed that Kiedis went over ‘every detail, everything he ever did that was upsetting.’

‘It was just like everything said in the way that you should say it and it felt real. It felt like he was really trying to be a better person and deal with… he had like jealousy, anger issues,’ Skye explained.

She also opened up about his decision to not accompany her to the abortion clinic all those years ago, and told the publication: ‘In my mind I thought he should definitely support me.

‘I think in hindsight, maybe it just was all too much, like he was running from his feelings. He must have clearly had feelings about it that he couldn’t handle,’ Skye added.

Despite the tell-all nature of her book, Skye insists she approached it with care.

‘I definitely don’t want to hurt anyone. But some people I named in the book have read it, and luckily everyone has loved it,’ she told People.
