Wearing a very glamorous grey feathered gown, the singer-songwriter, 28, clutched her shiny trophy and let rip with joy.

Sharing a slew of pictures to Instagram, the singer beamed as she hugged the award to her chest, while another showed her punching the air and screaming in delight as she held the prize up high.

A third image captured a quieter moment, with Raye smiling through closed eyes as she cradled the trophy, clearly soaking up a long-awaited victory.

The star has now officially clinched the first UK singles chart Number One of 2026, with the hit track finally reaching the top spot after a 15-week climb

The dramatic climb has seen the anthem stay in the charts for 15 weeks and become Raye’s second UK chart topping single, after her 2023’s smash Escapism.

The track, which is set to feature on her forthcoming 2026 studio album, also marks her 20th Top 40 single overall across her decade-long career.

Raye’s success comes after a long and difficult rise in the music business.

Born Rachel Agatha Keen, she first signed with Polydor but the partnership eventually ended after years of frustration, when multiple album releases were delayed or shelved.

She later spoke openly about feeling creatively stuck and sidelined during that period.

After breaking away, Raye rebuilt her career on her own terms, teaming up with independent distribution label Human Re Sources and taking full control of her music.

The move proved pivotal, allowing her to release songs on her own schedule and reconnect with fans without compromise.

Raye’s determination was laid bare in the second series of Louis Theroux Interviews, where the singer spoke candidly about the emotional toll of her early label battles and the sheer grind required to keep going when success felt out of reach.

The huge success comes after Raye brought out her two sisters to perform with her at Jingle Bell Ball after announcing they would both be joining her on tour later this year

Reflecting on that period, Raye said she ultimately just wanted ‘to be a person who’s in control of my life.’

Over the past few years, that resolve has paid off in spectacular fashion.

From critical acclaim for her debut album 21st Century Blues, to record-breaking wins at the Brit Awards and now a long-awaited return to the top of the singles chart, Raye’s journey has become one of pop’s most talked-about comeback stories.

The huge success comes after Raye brought out her two rarely-seen lookalike sisters to perform with her during Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball at the beginning of December 2025.

Taking to the stage at the O2 Arena, the seven-time Brit Awards winner, emotionally explained how it can be ‘lonely on the road’ but insisted her sisters are her ‘rock’.

Raye admitted she was ‘so nervous’ to bring out her younger siblings, Absolutely, 21, whose real name is Abby-Lynn Keen, and Amma, whose real name is Lauren.

The Where Is My Husband hitmaker also has a fourth sister Katelyn.

The trio gave fans a glimpse into what Raye’s world tour will look like next year as she recently announced Absolutely and Amma will be accompanying her.

She said: ‘I am very, very proud, that is a moment we will never forget in our little lives. There is nothing more special than sharing these moments with your sisters.
