When Ranveer Singh was announced as the new face for Don 3, the netizens had mixed reactions. Fans of the franchise have been waiting for over a decade to see Shah Rukh Khan back in action. But that won’t happen anymore. Singh will be playing the iconic character on screen, which was also played by megastar Amitabh Bachchan before SRK. The project was announced two years ago, but the progression is happening quite slowly. Well, we now have a major update on Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming directorial.

Remember the iconic lines that Shah Rukh Khan said: “Don ke dushman ki sabse badi galti yeh hai ke woh don ka dushman hai.” It looks like one actor is all set to commit the crime of being his enemy in Don 3. Ranveer Singh has finally found his worthy opponent in Vikrant Massey. Yes, the 12th Fail actor is all set to be a part of Farhan’s popular franchise.

As reported by Filmfare, a source informed, “Vikrant is playing the villain in Don 3.” As soon as the news came out, netizens had wild reactions on social media. Some wondered how Vikrant is doing another movie after announcing his “retirement,” while others questioned why a movie on a villain has a villain! One person posted, “Bhai yeh retirement nahi liya tha har project mein reh raha yeh.” A person reacted, “Don himself is a villain. What rubbish you are doing.” An X user wrote, “If this is true, then don franchise can’t get more downfall than this.”

Meanwhile, Don 3 also stars Kiara Advani in the lead role. The shooting is expected to go on floors sometime this year. Earlier, there were also reports that Sobhita Dhulipala would have a special appearance. However, there is no confirmation on the same yet.
