Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai – which began in 2009 – has completed over 15 years now. The show had kicked off with Hina Khan and Karan Mehra as the leads, and both were loved by the viewers for playing Akshara and Naitik with perfection. Even though they were new to the industry, they gained massive applause from the viewers. People loved their impeccable performances and continued to earn appreciation for years. Even today, they are one of the most iconic pairs. However, we all know that there have been issues between Hina Khan and producer Rajan Shahi.
Hina was a part of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for eight years, and Rajan Shahi has maintained in his interviews that there have been issues between him and the actress. The producer had terminated Hina because she refused to do scenes that glorified Shivangi Joshi’s character in the show.
Rajan Shahi groomed Hina for YRKKH
In a recent chat with Siddharth Kannan, Rajan Shahi opened up about the process of grooming Hina for the show. He said that the script of the show was already finished when he decided to cast Hina. He managed Hina’s spa, waxing, bleeching sessions and every little detail that was important. They got her hair done, and finalised extensions to ensure she looked the part.
Rajan also said that he also ensured that Hina’s rehersals were done everyday. On being asked about Hina’s casting, he recalled that the channel had refused to approve her as the lead, but he was firm about roping in Hina as the lead actress. This is a big story in entertainment news and TV news.
He had organised their outdoor shoot done in Jaipur where he spend Rs 40 lakhs from his pocket. He told the channel that if the show doesn’t work, he will give their money back.
Rajan Shahi further revealed that even today, irrespective of what had happened between them, Hina Khan still thanks him for standing by her. Akshara and Naitik’s story stays popular even today and is still one of the most loved stories.
