Rajan Shahi and Rupali Ganguly‘s combination has done wonders. The producer-actor duo has delivered the biggest show – Anupamaa. Currently, Anupamaa is the most popular show ruling the TRP charts. Rupali Ganguly holds Rajan Shahi in highest regard and has only good things to say about the producer. But did you know that there was a time when Rajan Shahi and Rupali Ganguly did not speak to each other?
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kanan, Rajan Shahi spilled beans over the tiff he once had with Rupali Ganguly. He shared that during his first show, he and Rupali Ganguly got into a fight. “Mera toh bohot jadga hogaya tha, toh hum log baat nahi kar rahe the,” he said. He recalled that when he was shooting for their show Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi, there was an incident when Rupali Ganguly arrived late on sets. He explained that he had booked a bridge to shoot the scene and had got designer clothes for the cast. The producer was yelling at him while she showed up at 4 pm when the call time was at 9 am. So he yelled at her and then she complained to the producers about him. “Kaam kiya but nok, jhok mein,” he added further.

In the same interview, Rajan Shahi spoke about the success of Anupamaa. He said that the journey of the main character is very interesting. Though they had taken a gist from show, but the major portion of writing is original. He called Anupamaa a ‘risk’ as it revolved around a 45-year-old woman. It was his mother who gave him the push as she stated that if he has the conviction, he should do it and the show will work. Well, her decision turned out to be right. Anupamaa is one of the most-loved shows and it has brought immense fame to Rupali Ganguly.
