The Producers Guild has postponed announcing its 2025 PGA Awards nominees in movie and TV categories amid the fires raging through Los Angeles.
The PGA Awards nominations will now be announced on Sunday, Jan. 12. Meanwhile, the voting window for casting a ballot has been extended until Saturday, Jan. 11.
The Producers Guild has already announced nominations in its documentary, sports, children’s and short-form content categories.
Yesterday, as the fires continued to spread and burn large areas of Los Angeles, the Oscars, voting for which began Wednesday morning, extended its voting window until Tuesday, Jan. 14, with 2025 Oscars nominations announcement postponed until Sunday, Jan. 19.
And the Writers Guild of America delayed the announcement of its nominations until Monday, Jan. 13.
Similarly, various events, including awards shows and screenings for Oscar hopeful films were postponed. Most notably, the 2025 Critics Choice Awards has been delayed until Sunday, Jan. 26 from its initial date of Sunday, Jan. 12. Additionally, Saturday’s AARP Movies for Grownups Awards has been postponed along with Friday’s AFI Awards celebration luncheon.
And Donna Langley’s Universal toast at Sunset Tower on Friday and Saturday’s BAFTA Tea Party in Beverly Hills are no longer happening.
