Jesy Nelson revealed she needs emergency procedure to save her unborn twins in an emotional health update on Saturday.
The Little Mix star, 34, revealed earlier this week that she’s been diagnosed with pre-twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, meaning one or both babies could be at risk of death.
Jesy broke down in tears as she and her partner Zion Foster shared the news in an Instagram clip.
She explained: ‘Unfortunately, the symptoms have got worse so they now have to perform the procedure, which is obviously not what we wanted to happen but it’s necessary because it’s going to give our babies the best chance of surviving.
‘So we’re just waiting to go in and we’re just hoping and praying for the best really. I feel absolutely gutted because I was really hoping we wouldn’t be in this position.
‘It’s obviously really scary because there’s so many things that can happen. Pray for us, please.’

Jesy previously explained she’s suffering ongoing ‘complications’ during her pregnancy with identical twins.
Sharing a video alongside her boyfriend Zion, she told her followers that she’s currently having twice-weekly scans to monitor her babies.
The singer said: ‘We wanted to let you in on our journey of what we’ve been going through.
‘So we are having identical twins which is so exciting – we cannot believe it. But, unfortunately, there are complications that come with having identical twins.
‘The type of twins we are having are called mono/di twins and so normally most twins will have two placentas that they feed off of.
‘But when you have mono/di twins, that means your twins live off one placenta which can lead to lots of complications – one of them being one baby might take all the nutrients which, and it’s really awful to say, but could lead to both babies dying.’
The singer then added: ‘I am currently pre-stage TTTS which is twin-to-twin transfusion and I am being monitored very closely and I have to go and be scanned twice a week.
‘The current situation is that every time I’ve gone it has got a little bit worse but we are just hoping and praying for the best.’

Jesy admitted she and Zion were ‘blessed’ to be expecting twins, but said she was ‘getting upset’ as she fought back tears.
Comforted by her boyfriend Zion, the singer then shared insight into the toll the news had taken on her.
‘It’s just really sad that it does come with these complications,’ she added.
‘We had no clue that this kind of thing happens when you have twins. We just really wanna raise awareness about this.’
Jesy went onto say she would update her fans while undergoing twice-weekly scans moving forward, adding all she and Zion can do is pray that things will improve moving forward.
TTTS is a potentially fatal condition that can occur in identical pregnancies when twins share a placenta.
Abnormal blood vessel connections form in the placenta and prevent blood from flowing evenly between the babies.
One twin then becomes dehydrated, which affects its growth. The other develops high blood pressure and produces too much urine.
This leads to an enlarged bladder and excessive amounts of amniotic fluid, which can put a strain on the twin’s heart, leading to heart failure. Without treatment, TTTS can be fatal for both twins.
There’s just a 50/50 chance of both twins surviving.

Monochorionic twins typically have two amniotic sacs but share a placenta, and a natural birth is considered risky.
Jesy and Zion went public with their relationship in January 2023 after rumours surfaced in 2022 about their growing closeness.
They dated for 18 months before splitting in August 2023, citing the age gap and differing mindsets.
However, the couple reconciled, only to separate again five months later.
Despite the ups and downs, Jesy and Zion reunited with a cosy photo announcing their pregnancy.
Jesy has also been candid about the challenging symptoms of her pregnancy.
She revealed to a follower that she has been dealing with ‘constant vomiting’ due to carrying twins.
The former X Factor star said: ‘I’ve been very sick where I’m having twins so constant vomiting 24/7. But other than that feeling very blessed.’
Thrilled to expand her family with Zion, Jesy was shocked when she learned she was expecting twins.
During a Q&A on Instagram, one follower asked one follower asked: ‘OMG! How are you?
‘How did you find out you were having twins? Were you surprised?’
Jesy replied: ‘Very, very shocked… it wasn’t planned but I instantly felt happy as soon as I saw that I was.’
The pop star has been open about her journey into motherhood, and rumours are circulating that she may be working with ITV on her own reality show, giving fans a glimpse into her early days as a mum.
