Patrick Mahomes’ dad, Patrick Mahomes Sr., was arrested Tuesday for violating his probation, Page Six can confirm.

The 55-year-old was booked into the Smith County Jail in Tyler, Tex., at 11:24 a.m. local time, per jail records.

Smith County District Attorney Jacob Putman told KLTV that he was jailed after his ankle monitor allegedly delivered a high alcohol reading on Jan. 1.

Per documents obtained by TMZ, he then took urine test analyses on Jan. 5 and Jan. 9, which allegedly came back negative at the time.

A motion has since been filed to end the violation, and Mahomes Sr. can challenge the allegations, according to CBS 19.

Exactly two years ago, the former baseball player was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Tyler. At the time, he had a blood alcohol content of 0.23.

He was sentenced to five years of probation in September 2024 and could face up to 10 years in prison if he violated the terms.

At the time, he had already been arrested for the same offense three times before.

Back in 2018, he was arrested and sentenced to 40 days in county jail, which he served on the weekends from February 2019 to February 2020, per the Kansas City Star.

A few days after his 2024 arrest, Mahomes II briefly spoke about his dad, telling journalists ahead of the Super Bowl.

“He’s doing good. I don’t really want to get into it too much but he’s doing good for whatever the situation is,” the Chiefs star coyly said.

“It’s a family matter so I will just keep it to the family. That’s all I really have to say at this point.”

Later, during an episode of the ESPN docuseries, “The Kingdom,” Mahomes II said, “I think just knowing that it hurt me woke him up to know that like, you can’t keep doing the same things.”

Mahomes Sr. then called it “the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever been through in my life.”

“I called [my son] right after, and I told him, I said, ‘I’m sorry that it’s taking away from your time and taking away from your focus,’” he added.

Mahomes II has yet to speak out on this most recent arrest.
