Jon Hamm is “very excited and deeply terrified” about becoming a dad.
The actor broke his silence on wife Anna Osceola‘s pregnancy news during a “Late Night With Seth Meyers” appearance Tuesday evening.
“I think I’m doing it right,” the “Your Friends & Neighbors” star, 55, said of his conflicting emotions, noting that he doesn’t think those feelings should ever “go away.”
He subsequently poked fun at his “old dad” status, saying, “When your kid is 70, you’ll be like, ‘I did it!’ When I’m 152.”
A report surfaced in August that Hamm and Osceola, 38, have a little one on the way.
The actress debuted her baby bump on the Emmys 2026 red carpet in a striped gown.
When Seth Meyers pointed out Tuesday that Osceola picked the “peak” time to show off her budding belly, Hamm agreed.
“I’m not saying she did it on purpose, but it was some timing,” he said.
The Emmy winner and his partner have been an item since 2020.
The pair met five years earlier while filming “Mad Men” in Big Sur, California — and they tied the knot at the same location in June 2023.
While the couple keeps their relationship out of the spotlight, Hamm shared rare details about their wedding five months after walking down the aisle.
“It was very sparsely attended, by our decision. It was small,” he gushed to “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” viewers of the “perfect” nuptials. “Man, it was great.”
Prior to his romance with Osceola, Hamm dated actress Jennifer Westfeldt for nearly two decades — and confessed to Us Weekly during their time together that he’d be a “terrible father.”
In 2012, the Golden Globe winner told Playboy, “I don’t have a driving force to have a baby. That said, I’m in a committed relationship, and if it ever came up, I’m not ruling it out.”
He also swore off marriage in the interview, explaining, “I don’t mean to say that it shouldn’t mean things to other people. It’s just my experience. I don’t have that paragon of married life to look at and think, ‘Oh yeah, that’s it! That’s what I want!’”
