Odessa A’zion wants to give one specific musician a piece of her heart by playing her on the big screen.
The “Marty Supreme” star professed her admiration for Janis Joplin while talking to Page Six at Monday’s Gotham Television Awards in New York City.
Talking about her tattoo collection, A’zion mentioned she had a tattoo of the “Me and Bobby McGee” singer on her arm.
A’zion, 25, revealed it’s her “dream” to portray the fiery blues singer, who died of a heroin overdose at age 27 in 1970.
“Let’s get it out there, Page Six is gonna make this happen!” we optimistically proclaimed, prompting A’zion to reply, “C’mon, Page Six, let’s go!”
The actress agreed she’s had quite a few whirlwind months after appearing in the critically acclaimed HBO series “I Love LA” and the Oscar-nominated flick “Marty Supreme,” both released in late 2025.
A’zion, daughter of actress Pamela Adlon, called it “nuts to have a show and then a movie come back to back.”
“It felt very much like, ‘OK, here we go!’” she reflected. “But it was so cool how different they were; they were just so different, a comedy and then a super different drama.”
A’zion was on the red carpet with her “I Love LA” costar, Rachel Sennott, who used to live in New York before moving to Los Angeles.
Sennott admitted she wasn’t prepared for the show she created, wrote and starred in to blow up the way it did.
“I was just focused on the experience of making it,” she shared. “I think the cast [felt] like lightning in a bottle and that felt really special to me, but watching people love the show and talk about it and make it their own was really special.”
The “Shiva Baby” star admitted what she misses most since moving across the country are her friends.
“I keep running into my best friends who live here, and that’s what I miss the most,” she said of returning to the Big Apple for the Gotham Television Awards.
During the ceremony, “I Love LA” won the award for Breakthrough Comedy Series.
