The piercings are back — and they’ve multiplied.
North West has been drawing criticism for weeks around her supposed dermal piercings on her hands and face.
And now, in response to the haters, West has shared an image to her Instagram Story, showing off multiple new piercings — on both hands and at least one wrist.
In addition to the original two on her left hand, the 12-year-old seems to have added three spikes and three balls to that same hand, two spikes and two balls to her right hand and what looks to be a flat piercing on the outside of her left wrist.
With hands held up in front of her face, she wrote “🪡🔛✋🏽” on top of the image.
It’s unclear whether the adornments are real or faux, though the original finger piercings appear irritated in the new pics.
West received public outrage for her initial piercing, spotted while the family was vacationing in Rome this past summer, citing the dangers of both dermal piercings in general as well as the added risk of those placed on often-used extremities like hands.
Then, come January, the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West showed off a second finger piercing on social media, holding her fist up towards the camera with two double-ball piercings on full display.
Quickly following, she drove the point home with a song called “Piercing on My Hand (Ye’s version).”
In the lyrics, a collaboration with her dad, she declares, “Piercing on my hand, the other holding bands” and “I’m not sure I’m crazy / I want more piercings and tats / I love blue hair put it in some plaits.”
Though Kardashian has not specifically spoken out about the piercing, she spoke to Alex Cooper on “Call Her Daddy” about West’s controversial fashion and beauty choices, sharing, “It’s really hard and it’s really interesting because all the kids are wearing the same things … But then my daughter tries to wear it and then I’m like, ‘okay, we’re never wearing that again.’ Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.”
