There have been more stars than snow landing in Aspen, Colo., for the holidays, as the jet set can only keep dreamin’ of a white Christmas in the posh ski town.

A spy said plainly, “There’s no snow” during Aspen’s busiest season, forcing some of its fabled ski runs to close. A peek (peak?) at the snow report on Christmas showed 0 inches of snowfall over a seven-day period, while the report added that 0% of beginner and expert terrain was open, while 35% of intermediate terrain and 30% of advanced terrain was open.

As of Christmas, there was an 8-inch base. December usually averages a 15-inch to 22-inch base at the resort with major snow dumps in January that boost the number to an average of 40 inches and over.

This weekend will see some light snowfall, according to the Weather Channel. The Aspen Daily News reported that “local lodging facilities are experiencing cancelations” due to the brown slopes, while restaurants are also hurting from the “soft start” to the winter season.

But the lack of fresh powder hasn’t deterred many of the area’s annual A-list visitors, from Mariah Carey to Jeff Bezos who are known for schmoozing at local hot spots such as Western wear shop Kemo Sabe and Snow Lodge (the wintry outpost of Montauk’s starry Surf Lodge) as much as any for winter sports.

Last weekend, Prince Harry played in the St. Regis Snow Polo Championship, while Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was seen bopping to a Snow Lodge set by Diplo, we reported.

Bezos and wife Lauren Sánchez (in cowboy hats) were also seen hanging with the mega-producer at Kemo Sabe, while local fixture Kate Hudson was spotted shopping with her family. Reality TV stars and exes Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have also been spotted in town along with last year’s Oscar sensation Mikey Madison, Brooks Nader, Rebel Wilson, Colman Domingo and Phoebe Dynevor.

Carey even led a spontaneous singalong of her hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
