Nicole Kidman was rushed to the hospital after powering through filming scenes for her new show Margo’s Got Money Troubles while she was ‘so sick.’
Kidman’s co-star Nick Offerman, 55, recalled the ‘astonishing’ moment during an interview with People on Wednesday.
Kidman, 58, stars as Lace, a former professional wrestler-turned-lawyer, who makes her debut in the latest episode of the Apple TV+ series in a scene with Offerman and Elle Fanning, 28.
According to Offerman, the scene, which featured a ‘huge set piece’ with ‘hundreds of extras,’ saw Kidman’s Lace and his character Jinx, also a former pro wrestler, reunite in the ring at a fan convention.
‘We’re there in the morning, we’re getting warmed up – some of us are going to be performing some actual wrestling, and so we have our doubles, we have people we’re working with,’ he explained to the outlet.
However, the big scene was almost derailed after Offerman and the rest of the cast and crew learned that Kidman was sick with the flu.

‘And the word comes in that Nicole has the flu, and we might not get Nicole today. And we’re like, “Oh no, that’s such a bummer, because we only have the one day that we’ve built this whole circus for,”‘ he recalled.
‘It’s about 8:00 in the morning that we get this news. Come to be about 11:00 a.m., the word comes in: Nicole’s coming.’
Kidman stayed true to her word and showed up to set. But Offerman said it was immediately apparent that Kidman was ‘so sick.’
The actress looked ‘so pale, shaken,’ according to Offerman. ‘She just had the flu really so bad.’
Despite battling the flu, Kidman ‘showed up and made sure that we got every shot of her.
‘Total superhero style,’ he gushed. ‘[Kidman] did everything we needed to so that we did not lose one scrap of what we needed for her character.’
Once the shooting wrapped for the day, Kidman ‘was literally taken to the hospital for an IV.’
