Nicole Kidman is leaving the past in the rearview mirror for the new year.
The actress gushed about “looking forward into 2026” while celebrating New Year’s Eve with her daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
Kidman, 58, revealed her sentiments with an image of the threesome watching a firework show with their arms wrapped around each other.
Kidman is stepping into a new era of her life after filing for divorce from her husband of 19 years, Keith Urban.
Page Six initially confirmed their separation on Sept. 29, 2025, with a source telling us that their relationship “[ran its] course” after she tried “to save things.”
The following day, the “Perfect Couple” star officially filed to end their union.
Shortly after, rumors swirled that the country star had struck up a romance with his guitarist Maggie Baugh after he changed the lyrics in a song about Kidman to reference the 25-year-old.
However, Baugh’s friend Alexandra Kay shut down speculation in October, telling Taste of Country, “Honestly, I was heartbroken for them because the media scrutiny is insane and the things that people say … They’re like, stirring up rumors about Maggie Baugh, and I’m like, ‘She’s a good friend of mine and I know that’s absolutely not true.’”
Baugh and Urban, 58, have yet to address the rumors themselves.
The “Big Little Lies” star’s Friday post isn’t the first time she shared feelings about moving on from the divorce.
In an October 2025 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the Oscar winner shared how she gets through some of life’s most devastating moments.
“So you go, ‘Oh, I’ve been here before. I actually know how to handle this now.’ Or, ‘Maybe I haven’t been in this place, but I’ve experienced something similar to this, and I do know that I will get through it,’” she explained.
“There’s something to knowing that no matter how painful, or how difficult, or how devastating something is, there is a way through,” she continued.
“…You’re going to feel like you’re broken, but if you move gently and slowly — and it can take an enormous amount of time — it does pass.”
Insiders also told us that Kidman is “sad, but moving on” from Urban and focusing on her children.
In fact, Kidman has found solace in her family during the holidays.
She first celebrated Thanksgiving by running a Turkey Trot with her sister Antonia Kidman, her brother-in-law, Craig Marran, as well as her and Urban’s daughters.
And forr Christmas, she traveled to her native Australia with Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
“This is all she wanted after a tumultuous fall,” a source told People at the time. “She just wanted to celebrate Christmas at home.”
