Netflix has struck another video podcasting partnership, announcing a deal Wednesday with Barstool Sports.

As part of the multiyear deal, Netflix will bring three of Barstool’s most popular podcasts, Pardon My Take, The Ryen Russillo Show and Spittin Chiclets to the platform. Netflix will stream all new episodes of the podcast, as well as select library episodes.

Like the previously announced deals, the video episodes will be exclusive to Netflix. The audio versions of each podcast will remain widely available.

Netflix announced a partnership with iHeartMedia Tuesday to stream  video episodes of more than 15 iHeartPodcasts, including Charlamagne tha God’s The Breakfast Club, My Favorite Murder, Chelsea Handler’s Dear Chelsea, Bobby Bones Presents: The Bobbycast and more.

The deal follows Netflix’s announcement in October of a partnership with Spotify to stream video podcast episodes of shows from Spotify Studios and The Ringer including The Bill Simmons Podcast, The Zach Lowe Show, The McShay Show, The Rewatchables, Conspiracy Theories and more. Both the Spotify and iHeartMedia partnerships are also multiyear deals.

All of this comes as Netflix seeks to tap into the popularity of the medium and compete with its main rival, YouTube, which is the most popular platform for video podcasts.

The podcasts from Barstool are some of its biggest titles, with sports podcast Pardon My Take, hosted by Big Cat and PFT Commenter, as the top-ranked Barstool podcast, with more than 650,000 subscribers to their YouTube channel.  Spittin’ Chiclets sees Ryan Whitney, Paul Bissonnette and Rear Admiral discuss the latest from the NHL with 434,000 subscribers. The Ryen Russillo Show features sports analysis and conversations with Ryen Russillo and has 30,800 YouTube subscribers. In joining Netflix, the shows are giving up often large advertising earnings on YouTube, which has been a cause of concern for podcasters.

The video podcasts are expected to launch on Netflix in the U.S. in early 2026, with more to follow.

“We’re excited to partner with Netflix and hopefully bring new audiences to each platform,” said Dave Portnoy, founder of Barstool Sports.

“We’re thrilled to team up with Barstool Sports and bring their top video podcasts to Netflix. This partnership broadens how our members connect with Barstool’s leading sports voices and delivers exactly what our members crave: unfiltered commentary, sharp takes, and undeniable humor. We look forward to giving fans another exciting way to engage with the conversations they love on Netflix,” said Lauren Smith, Netflix VP of content licensing and programming strategy.
