Neil Young has announced he is cancelling his entire UK and European tour as he shared heartfelt apology to fans.
The US rocker, 80, and his band The Chrome Hearts were due to perform a host of gigs across Britain in the likes of Manchester, Cardiff and Glasgow.
He was then set to take to the stage at venues in countries such as the Netherlands, France and Italy.
But in a shock move, the artist has revealed he is cancelling the whole tour and is taking a break from performing.
In a statement shared to the Neil Young Archives website, he wrote: ‘Folks I have decided to take a break and will not be touring Europe this time.
‘Thanks to everyone who bought tickets. I’m sorry to let you down, but this is not the time.
‘I do love playing LIVE and being with you and the Chrome Hearts. LOVE Neil be well.’
Neil did not go into further detail about the reason behind cancelling the tour.
