Tom Holland stepped in to save the day as he prevented his wife Zendaya from suffering a major wardrobe mishap in New York City on Thursday.

The 30-year-old actor, who finally confirmed last month that both he and Zendaya had tied the knot, was seen strolling alongside the Euphoria actress, 29, as they departed their hotel in the Big Apple.

The couple sweetly held hands as they made their way towards an awaiting vehicle nearby.

However, Zendaya had worn a stylish black dress with a plunging neckline and a thigh-high slit on the front which suddenly began riding up due to a breeze.

Holland quickly noticed and gestured towards his wife who immediately placed a hand down on the hem.

He continued to guide her towards the car as she firmly kept her left hand on the outfit to stop a wardrobe malfunction from occurring.

Daily Mail has reached out to reps of Zendaya and Holland for comment, but has yet to hear back.

The actress had paired the dress, which contained a floral embellishment on the front, with closed-toed black heels.

She opted for minimal accessories to allow the ensemble to be the main focal point and added a pair of mini silver earrings.

A warm blush was added to her cheekbones for a radiant glow while a nude-colored tint was worn on her lips for a finishing touch.

Holland kept it casual while donning a pair of classic denim jeans as well as a dark navy sweater.

The lovebirds have been keeping busy while promoting their new movie The Odyssey, which officially hits theaters on July 17.

Holland portrays the character of Telemachus while Zendaya took on the role of the goddess Athena in Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s Greek epic.

The project has raked in rave reviews as some have hailed it as ‘god-tier’ and a ‘masterpiece.’

During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon this week, Zendaya recalled the moment her husband informed her that she landed a role in The Odyssey.

Holland had started to meet with Nolan after being cast in the movie first.

‘Well Tom got the call, Christopher Nolan called. My heart was just so full. I was so excited for him. I mean he’s the best and he deserves this,’ she told Fallon and the live audience.

‘And I was just so excited, and obviously I’m his biggest fan but I’m also a Chris Nolan fan. So when that kind of opportunity comes around, I was just so excited. I didn’t even put myself in that equation at all. Like we already won, you know?’

The actress added, ‘So he had another meeting and he had the script, I may have done a little, you know, peeky peek. I gotta know, there’s a Christopher Nolan script in my house.

‘So I looked, and then he went off to his meeting and when he came home I was like okay tell me all about it. How was he? What was it like? And I was so ready, so excited.’

Holland then told Zendaya to read the script once again.

‘And he goes, “Read this again”, and I was like “Why? we just read it last night?”, and he’s like “Read it again, but with Athena in mind.” And I was like, “Yo stop it right now.”‘

The actor has also given insight into working with Zendaya on the epic.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the London premiere of The Odyssey, Holland revealed what he learned most from starring alongside his wife over the years.

‘To be confident and be bold. She makes big choices when she plays characters,’ he told the outlet.

‘She’s not afraid to create the characters and she does it in a way where they feel like real people.’

He further expressed that the actress ‘makes big, bold choices. I think there are a few actors who can do it as well as she can, and I love watching her do it.’

Last month while talking to Esquire UK, Holland finally confirmed that both he and Zendaya said ‘I do.’

The actor was questioned if some of his family members thought they had missed the nuptials after AI-generated ‘wedding’ photos filtered across social media and the internet.

‘No, because they were all there,’ he simply stated. ‘That’s all you’ll get on that.’
