Maria Thattil has broken her silence amid reports of her split with partner Moana Hope.
After months of rumours, it was reported on Friday that the former Miss Universe Australia, 32, had ‘quietly called time’ on her 18-moth relationship with her AFLW star partner, 37.
Taking to her Instagram story on Saturday, Maria confirmed that the reports were true.
Following a post about spray tanning tips, Maria revealed that her ‘beautiful’ relationship with Moana had run its course.
‘On a different note,’ she began, ‘Moana and I have shared a beautiful relationship but wish to share we have decided to go our separate ways.’
Continuing, Maria said that the breakup, while difficult, was amicable.

‘We do this with nothing but respect and care for one another and will always support each other. Thank you for all the love and support.’
Maria rounded out her heartfelt post with: ‘Whilst I will have work obligations to post, please know this is not an easy thing to go through & appreciate privacy around this.’
Confidential claimed on Friday that Moana and Maria had ‘quietly split after several weeks of rumours of a break-up that started when the pair did not spend Christmas together.’
However, speaking to News Corp just last week, Maria said that, at the time, she remained in a committed relationship with Moana, in spite of the rumours.
‘I’m not single,’ Maria said. ‘I’ve seen rumours… but that’s honestly all it is.
‘We are good and excited for the year ahead. Excited for 2025 together and it’s going to be great.
‘Nothing has come from us. We are investing in ourselves.’
The pair also celebrated Maria’s 32nd birthday together just two weeks ago.

Moana and Maria have been at the centre of split rumours for months.
Last month, a popular gossip site speculated that the women have parted ways after Moana stopped appearing in Maria’s social media posts.
A follower asked Instagram page Influencer Updates if the pair had broken up, and the site replied: ‘I think they have.’
‘I was hoping Moana was just missing from Maria’s socials because Moana was going on I’m A Celeb…
‘But it looks like Moana is posting at home this weekend,’ they added.
Moana last appeared in a post to Maria’s Instagram in November, while Moana last posted Maria in September.
Back in June, Maria heaped praise on the ‘love of her life’ as she gave a rare insight into their relationship.
The ex-Miss Universe Australia started dating Moana late last year and the couple even teased an engagement.

They generally keep their romance relatively under wraps but Maria shared some rare comments about her girlfriend on The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show podcast.
She told host Jessica Rowe that her relationship with Moana is different to previous romances and described her as the ‘love of her life’.
‘It is amazing, and challenging, and growing me in ways that I’ve never experienced,’ said Maria – who recently made her Neighbours debut as Amira Devkar.
‘In the past I thought if I wanted a career, to be that person I thought I needed to be, I needed to sacrifice everything else. But here I am with real love in my life. With someone I love very much.’
Maria, who made her red carpet debut with Moana in September last year, said she felt content in their relationship and discussed how they navigate life with Moana’s kids.
Sportswoman Moana shares children Svea, three, and Ahi, one, with her ex-wife Isabella Carlstrom, who she split from in June last year after six years together.
Of their family dynamic, Maria explained: ‘She’s [Moana’s] got kids, and it’s this whole other side to me that I didn’t know.
‘And I am learning now and I’m on that journey. I can have all of these things, and it doesn’t take away anything.

‘Because I deserve that. I deserve love and I’m enough. And it’s okay that I’m making room for this.’
Though the couple often appeared publicly together, they rarely made comments about their budding romance.
The couple had been dating for several months and had moved in together and Moana hinted last November that she will soon propose to Maria.
Posting a series of images to Instagram of the pair glammed up for their night out at the Marie Claire Women of the Year Awards, the couple seemed smitten.
In one photo, Moana even appeared to be about to get down on bended knee and pop the question.
In the comments section, fans noticed the romantic air of the images, with one person asking: ‘How do I get tickets to the wedding?’
Moana was quick to reply to the curious follower, ‘Watch this space!’, along with a laughing emoji.
