Meryl Streep’s daughter Mamie Gummer has settled her divorce from Mehar Sethi.

Gummer, 42, filed for divorce from Sethi, 44, in February 2025 after six years of marriage.

According to TMZ, on Friday the We Were Liars actress told a Los Angeles court that she and her ex are legally prepared to finalize the split.

Streep’s daughter, whom she shares with ex-husband Don Gummer, listed the date of separation as May 6, 2023.

The exes share two children: seven-year-old son Peter and four-year-old daughter Mary. In her original filing, the silver screen star requested joint legal and physical custody of the kids.

Documents pertaining to the agreed upon terms of custody and spousal support have been kept private, TMZ reported.

Gummer and Sethi got engaged in August 2018, and announced they were expecting later that same year.

They tied the knot in February 2019, and welcomed their son Peter the same month. Their daughter Mary was born in 2021.

This marks the second divorce for the actress, who was previously married to Benjamin Walker from 2011-2013.

In addition to her oldest daughter, 76-year-old Streep shares son Henry, 46, and daughters Grace, 39, and Louisa, 34, with her ex-husband, 79.

She was married to the sculptor for 45 years before they announced their split in October 2023. The pair tied the knot in 1978.

They revealed at the time that they had been separated ‘for more than six years’ after deciding to live their ‘lives apart.’

Streep moved on with Only Murders in the Building co-star Martin Short, 76.

While their romance came as a shock to fans, it was the ‘worst kept secret’ on the set of the Hulu series, according to a source who claimed their ‘affection’ was palpable on and off-screen.

Streep has been busy promoting The Devil Wears Prada 2.

The follow-up to the original 2006 flick sees Anne Hathaway return as Andrea Sachs, the former Runway magazine assistant who returns to work with editor-in-chief Miranda Priestley (Streep) as her features editor.

Priestley was inspired by former real-life Vogue editor Anna Wintour, 76.

In anticipation of the movie’s release, Streep and Wintour are Vogue’s May cover stars.

Wintour said she ‘trusted’ Streep ‘implicitly’ when it came to shooting the second movie.

‘I do think they’ve located something true about the [fashion] business now,’ Streep noted about returning to the film 20 years later.
