Mel is replacing Heidi Klum on the panel and will join Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel and Sofía Vergara on the show.

It comes after Mel opened up about the struggles she has faced while narrating her latest programme, Happy Town.

Speaking to hosts Jon Kay and Sarah Campbell, Mel said that narrating for the children’s animated TV series wasn’t easy due to her dyslexia, which she was diagnosed with ‘later in life’.

She said: ‘I also got to challenge myself because I got diagnosed with dyslexia later on in life, so I got to sit there, read a script and time it with the characters.

‘It took me a few times because now I’ve actually recorded 60 episodes. So my first few episodes it was very difficult and very challenging.

‘But the more I did it, the more I got used to it and the more I enjoyed it. And I just think don’t let anything like dyslexia hold you back.

‘There are challenges that you can go through, but you can strive and make yourself better and better, and that’s what I did’.

Mel also added that taking part in Bear Grylls’ new Netflix show Celebrity Bear Hunt had its own set of challenges.

Scary Spice described her experience in Costa Rica as the ‘Las Vegas of challenges’ and said it really pushed her out of her ‘comfort zone’.

She continued: ‘I love Bear Grylls. I’ve done his show before. I do find that you face your biggest fears and you really get out of your comfort zone, but this was a challenge. I mean, it was like the Las Vegas of challenges.’

The Netflix series, presented by Holly Willoughby, features British stars being hunted in a Central American jungle by survival expert Bear Grylls.

It comes after the singer revealed if any of her fellow Spice Girls would ever take on Celebrity Bear Hunt.

Speaking to MailOnline at the screening, she even dished on what pal Victoria would say to the show.

She formed the Spice Girls with Victoria, Geri Horner, Melanie C and Emma Bunton – but wasn’t sure if any of them would be brave enough to do the show.

The star said at the event: ‘None of them. None of them. They’ll be like, ‘ewwww’.

‘I thought I was going to be like that but I had to switch my mentality. Because you are in a jungle with strangers and you’re all sleeping side by side with each other not knowing how the day is going to start.

‘It is brilliant but it’s mental.

Asked if she thinks Victoria, 50, might sign up for series two, Mel B said: ‘You know what you can never say never.’

A Spice Girls reunion may not be on the cards for anytime soon, but fans will be glad to know that two members of the hit girlband are said to be joining forces once again to star on a new K-pop TV series.

Emma and Mel B reportedly flew to Seoul in November last year to take part in a reality show, collaborating with K-pop idols.

The eight-episode Apple TV+ series, named KPOPPED, is being executively produced by music icon Lionel Richie and is set to air later this year.

The format sees Western musical legends collaborating with the biggest K-pop artists to reimagine one of their greatest hits in a K-pop style, with a live audience voting for the winner of the best new song.

Apple have already announced that Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion will be performing on the show, as well as serving as an executive producer.

While South Korean star Psy, who soared to fame with his international 2012 megahit Gangnam Style, will also appear on the series.

It comes as good news to the nineties band’s fans, after hopes of another reformation were thought to have been have been scuppered due to an ugly feud between two members

And now The Sun has claimed that the show’s star-power is even more off the chart, with Emma and Mel, both 49, also starring, as well as fellow Brit Boy George.

A music insider told the publication: ‘A Spice Girls reunion is a way off. So having Emma and Mel back on stage singing a Spice Girls song together might be the closest fans get to a comeback, even though it will be with K-pop stars rather than Geri Horner , Melanie C and Victoria Beckham.

‘They flew to South Korea at the end of last year and were on set for quite a few days as they battled it out with other pop veterans.

‘With them alone on board, it is a big show. But there’s also Boy George and loads of other chart-topping stars, which will be enough to encourage people to tune in.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for both Emma and Mel for comment.
