Everyone has been through the most difficult times. We all struggle a lot but soon, happy days find their way. Many times, such things have happened to many celebrities as well. While we all look at the glam side of the industry, there is also a lot of struggle behind it. It is not easy for them to establish themselves in the industry especially at a time when there is a lot of competition. People have been through times when they did not even have food to eat or even to buy some poison.

Things have been very ugly for many people and today, we will talk about the struggle of a sibling duo. They have been a part of the entertainment industry for a long time. The grew up in the most tough times after their father passed away.

They were left with just Rs 30 and had to struggle a lot. We are talking about ace choreographer Farah Khan and her brother Sajid Khan. They are Kamran Khan’s children. He was a former stuntman who later became a filmmaker. Farah and Sajid lost their father when they were 14 and 18 years old.

Farah had shared in her interviews that when their father passed away, they only had Rs 30 and they didn’t had enough money to even arrange his funeral. She also spoke about how after her father’s films didn’t do well, her mother moved her and Sajid into a small storage room to live.

She spoke about their overnight failure and said, “We have seen overnight failure. It was released on Friday, it was out of theatres by Saturday, and by Sunday we had become poor. He had put everything including mummy’s jewellery because he was so sure that the movie would do well. For 13 years, till he died, he had no work. We had moved to 1 bhk from a 4bhk. I don’t want to sound like a tragedy because my dad had started drinking. From I was 5 till I was 13, we lived like that. Then my mom decided to leave with me and Sajid overnight, wo bhi ek picture ka scene tha. Jaha ab Soho house hai, waha Juhu beach ke bus stop pe raat ke 2 baje khade they- mummy aur 2 bachche.”

She further added that her mother working as a housekeeper in a hotel and they literally had nothing in their house. Farah started her career as a choreographer and got her big break when Saroj Khan walked out of the film Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander. Post that there was no stop for her and she worked with big stars like Shah Rukh Khan and even Shakira.

She made her directorial debut with Main Hoon Naa and later did Om Shanti Om, Tees Maar Khan, and Happy New Year. On the other hand, Sajid started his career as a television host. He started with the show Main Bhi Detective in 1995. He did many more shows as a host and then directed successful films like Heyy Babyy, Housefull, and Housefull 2. He also participated in Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 16.

Farah Khan is now India’s highest-paid choreographer, charging Rs 50 lakh per song. Her net worth is Rs 85 crore while Sajid’s net worth of Rs 40 crore. Together, their combined net worth is over Rs 125 crore.
