Nelson Peltz: Nicola’s billionaire dad

Nelson was born in Brooklyn, New York, on June 24, 1942, to Jewish parents Claire and Maurice Peltz.

The youngest of three children, Nelson graduated from Horace Mann School in the Bronx and went on to attend the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He dropped out before graduating to become a ski instructor and then started working at his grandfather’s wholesale food distribution business,  A. Peltz & Sons.

Nelson and his brother Robert grew their family food distribution business into a public company with about $150 million in sales under the name Flagstaff Corp. They later bought a stake in vending machine and wire company Triangle Industries Inc., which they built into one of the world’s largest packaging companies and a Fortune 100 industrial firm before selling it in 1988.

In 1997, Nelson’s investment vehicle, Triarc Companies, Inc., acquired Snapple from Quaker Oats. Three years later, the beverage brand was sold to Cadbury Schweppes for approximately $1.45 billion.

He co-founded alternative investment management fund Trian Partners, which holds $7.15 billion in assets as of 2026. The company invested in companies including Heinz, Cadbury, Kraft Foods, Wendy’s, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble and more.

Nelson has a net worth of $1.6 billion, according to Forbes.

Claudia Heffner Peltz: Nicola’s model mom

Claudia was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on March 12, 1955.

Hailing from a relatively humble background, Claudia launched her successful modeling career in the late 1970s and focused on editorial and advertising work.

Claudia was featured in well-known publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and Cosmopolitan. She also modeled for commercial brands like Revlon, L’Oréal, Calvin Klein and Chanel.

The fashionista retired from her modeling career after marrying Nelson in 1985 and pivoted to philanthropy. She and her husband co-founded the Nelson and Claudia Peltz Family Foundation, a private charitable fund supporting education, healthcare, environmental and youth development efforts.

She also turned her focus to raising their family.

Developing a dynasty: the Peltz siblings

Along with their eldest daughter Nicola, Nelson and Claudia share seven other children: Matthew, Will, Brad, Brittany, Diesel, Zachary, and Gregory.

Nelson also has two other children from his first marriage to Cynthia Abrams, to whom he was married from 1964 to 1981.

Like his father, Matthew became a financier and works for Trian Fund Management. He is also a non-executive vice chairman of Wendy’s.

Will followed in Nicola’s Hollywood footsteps and became an actor. He has appeared in movies including “Unfriended” and “Sierra Burgess Is a Loser” as well as shows like “Manifest” and “Entourage.”

Brad, Zachary and Gregory became hockey players, Brittany went into interior design and Diesel is a tech entrepreneur.

Nicola, who started acting in 2006, appeared in 2010’s “The Last Airbender,” 2024’s “Lola” and the 2026 thriller “Pretty Ugly.”

The Peltz-Beckham family fusion

Brooklyn was welcomed into the Peltz family when he married Nicola with a star-studded Palm Beach, Fla., wedding in 2022.

The Cloud23 hot sauce founder, who started dating Nicola in 2019, began feuding with his parents after their nuptials.

Brooklyn confirmed in a January 2026 Instagram statement that he had no plans to reconcile with David and Victoria.

“I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private,” Brooklyn wrote in the lengthy social media post at the time.

“Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”

Brooklyn confirmed Page Six’s previous report that Victoria hijacked his first dance with Nicola at their wedding. He also claimed his mom danced inappropriately on him in front of his guests, adding that he felt “humiliated.”

Brooklyn claimed that the designer was supposed to make Nicola’s wedding gown, only to flake on her in the “eleventh hour.”

The aspiring chef has since appeared to skip major family events. He also informed his mom and dad that they can only contact him through his lawyer.

Picking sides in the Beckham family feud

Nelson and Claudia took Brooklyn under their wings after he became estranged from his own parents.

Brooklyn celebrated Christmas with his in-laws in 2025 and has joined several of the Peltz’s lavish family vacations. Nelson even officiated the ceremony when Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their vows in August 2025.

Brooklyn showed his father-in-law some love by posting a photo with him on Instagram in July 2025.

He also appears to have a close bond with Nicola’s siblings and often attends events with them.
