Saif faced rejection early in his career and made his debut with the film Parampara in 1993. He was even offered Bekhudi in 1992, where he was supposed to debut alongside Kajol. But, director Rahul Rawail decided to drop him from the movie.
Saif appeared in films like Aashiq Awara and Main Khiladi Tu Anari. He gave back-to-back flop films including Yaar Gaddar, Suraksha, Ek Tha Raja, Bombay Ka Babu, Tu Choor Main Sipahi, Dil Tera Deewana, Hamesha, Udaan, and Humse Badhkar Kaun.
Saif decided to comeback in 1999 with the superhit film Hum Saath-Saath Hain, alongside Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Tabu, and Sonali Bendre. The film was made on a budget of Rs 19 crores and it grossed Rs 81.71 crores. This film became a turning point in his life.
As per the Economic Times, Saif’s net worth is Rs 1,200 crores. He earns a significant income from brand endorsements. He managed to rule hearts with his roles in films like Love Aaj Kal and Go Goa Gone. He was married to Amrita Singh in 1991. The two are parents to daughter Sara Ali Khan and son Ibrahim Ali Khan. Saif and Amrita parted ways in 2004. Saif fell in love with his Tashan co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan and got married to her. They are parents to sons Taimur and Jeh Ali Khan.
