While his career phase for the past few years has been very shaky, the year 2025 seems to be shaping up well for him.
The actor we are talking about is referred to as Khiladi and King of Comedy. He has been a part of some of the most loved comedy movie franchises. But his journey has not been easy. During the early 2000s, he had a string of flops, at least 16, until the comedy genre saved him. In the past few years, he has been delivering back-to-back flops. Last year, while working on one of his movies, the actor even fractured his leg. But the film turned out to be one of the biggest flops of 2024.
This actor once shared how a fan had stuck a blade in their finger and slit his arm while shaking hands. On a podcast, the actor revealed that it happened during fan interaction, when he was meeting and greeting a lot of people. “Then I realised that one of them, whom I had shook hands with, had stuck a blade in their (finger) nail and slit my arm. When you suffer a blade cut you don’t realise it as it takes a bit of time for you to understand that you’ve been cut, you come to know after about 2-3 seconds,” he revealed.
After facing bad luck in his career for a while, it looks like comedy is the genre that will revive his career and showcase his talent in the best way. Yes, we are talking about Akshay Kumar. The actor is returning to comedy with Housefull 5, Jolly LLB 3, and Welcome to the Jungle. But what the fans are more excited about is Hera Pheri 3. It looks like Priyadarshan, who made the first film, is ready to get back as a director. At least that’s what he hinted today.
Today, on the director’s birthday, Akshay Kumar shared, “Happy Birthday, Priyan Sir! The hint comes just a few months after Akshay and Priyadarshan announced their horror comedy, Bhooth Bangla. The shooting for the same started this month.
