Matthew Rhys can’t believe he’s dating and living with Keri Russell.
“I still wonder how I’m getting away with it,” the Welsh actor exclaimed to Page Six when asked about his long-term romance with the “Felicity” alum and whether he feels he’s dating someone out of his league.
After we jokingly questioned whether the 49-year-old actress had been deceived, the “Brothers & Sisters” star, 50, explained, “No, I think she’s firmly aware. There’s no putting one over on her. She’s fully aware of what’s going on.”
“I’m just grateful for her,” he said at the NYC premiere of his new TV series, “Towards Zero,” at Metrograph on Wednesday.
The duo, who starred in the FX series “The Americans,” have been dating since 2014.
Two years after beginning their romance, they welcomed a son named Sam.
In 2023, the pair spoke exclusively to Page Six about the beginning of their relationship.
“We were both at an age where we’ve done it long enough to go, ‘You know workplace [romances] can be disastrous,” he revealed. “So, I think it was approached with caution and a great deal of trepidation. And coupled with that, for me, was certainly fun and excitement.”
“Thank God it worked!” he exclaimed with Russell echoing the sentiment.
“Thank God!” she agreed.
Eleven years later, they’re still a couple. However, they have yet to make it official.
“We literally haven’t got round to marriage yet,” the “Perry Mason” star said in a recent interview with the Times.
As for his professional life, Rhys was promoting his new show — a three-part series based on the classic mystery by best-selling author Agatha Christie.
The BBC show also stars Anjelica Huston and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.
“People of my age grew up with Agatha Christie in their living rooms. I certainly did throughout my childhood and teenage years, so to be able to do it is a big kind of checkmark, box checked,” the actor said.
“Towards Zero” will be available to watch on Britbox in the US starting April 16.
