Mary Bonnet hinted that she might not return for Selling Sunset season 10.
“It depends on the dynamic in the office, honestly,” Mary, 45, said during the Monday, January 5 episode of Gia Giudice’s “Casual Chaos” podcast when asked about a new installment of the Netflix show.
Mary explained that she would keep her job at the Oppenheim Group, and “just not be on the show.” However, her decision is still pending.
“It depends on the level of toxicity that they’re allowing,” she added, saying that she feels like “everyone’s on the same page” with the dynamic between the women.
“It’s too much right now. What’s going to happen? I don’t have control over any of that. That’s for our producers and Netflix,” Mary continued. “Jason has control over who works at the Oppenheim Group, but he doesn’t have control over who’s on the show.”
After the drama that went down in season 9, Mary admitted that she’s “good” with taking a step back from the show if need be. (Mary previously told Us Weekly exclusively that she got a “bad edit” in the show’s most recent season, especially when it came to her drama with costar Chelsea Lazkani.)
“Most of the girls and I, we all have so much fun. We’re on group chats. We go out and we get along really, really well,” Mary added. “That dynamic just over the last couple of seasons, especially this one, it’s just not my cup of tea.”

Reflecting on Season 9
Mary admitted she was “a bit frustrated” with the edit she received in season 9, which premiered in October 2025, adding that it was “brutal” watching the episodes back.
“There was so much that happened, and then [my house] just got robbed,” she continued. “I wasn’t sleeping much … so it was all of this wrapped up in one big chaotic bubble. Then, they just edit certain words and certain facial expressions.”
Taking a Break From Alcohol
Discussing her decision to be sober, Mary explained that “nothing bad happened” but she couldn’t remember going one day without a drink, which is what led to her laying off alcohol.
“It was just too much for my health. I was like, I need to just take a break, and I need to give my liver and my kidneys a break. I need to give my mental state a break,” she said. “I think my anxiety started getting worse. What used to serve me, and used to help take the load off, calm down a little bit. I think it just started making it a little bit worse.”
Mary made it clear that she doesn’t “put limits on myself” and she will have a drink if she wants one but “it’s never allowed to be two days in a row” and she won’t “drink at home.” She’s since found herself ordering mocktails as well.
“I’m 45 now, so my body is not as young and vibrant as it used to be,” Mary continued. “I just want to try to take care of it, if possible.”
A Fertility Update
The Selling Sunset star said “the chances are not good” for her to have a baby with husband Romain Bonnet.
“At this point, we just know it is what it is. We just don’t really talk about it,” she said. “We love our doggies, and that’s what our life is going to be. We love to travel, so we’re just looking at the positives on what not having a baby allows us.”
An Update on Her Costars
Mary weighed in on the ongoing drama between former friends Chrishell Stause and Emma Hernan. She said “there will not” be any reconciliation between them any time soon.
“I don’t really know what’s going on with Chrishell right now. I’ve always loved her, and always will, but I don’t know what’s happening. It’s just every day is a different person that she’s going after and I’m like, ‘What’s going on right now?’” Mary said. “I hope she’s doing OK. I’m confused by it, like everybody else.”
