Married At First Sight bride Alissa Fay has spoken out about the heartbreaking moment she knew her relationship with her TV husband David Momoh was over.
The registered nurse, 33, exclusively told Daily Mail that the cracks in their marriage started appearing when he began publicly speaking out about what should have been private matters between them.
‘We had an early incident, maybe four weeks into the experiment, that really rocked us. Trust was broken and looking back now, I never really healed. I never fully let go of that hurt,’ Alissa began.
‘I guess more cracks started to show because of that issue. When we sat on that couch, you would have seen us bickering in front of the experts. That rocked me, I was like, “Why have you not brought this up with me sooner?”‘
Alissa added she was hurt that David felt he could not speak directly to her about what was bothering him, and instead had to air his grievances in public.
‘Why have we not had productive conversations sooner? I was really upset. All the stuff he said, “Alissa does this, does that”, he should have brought that up in the weeks that we had. Why only at the couch session? It threw me off guard,’ she said.

The Adelaide-native then revealed she was deeply disappointed that David had posted a series of clips to social media making fun of their relationship – insisting she would never stoop to that level.
‘I’m really upset, I feel like this is really immature behaviour. The mockery is not okay. Have some respect, I don’t go out there making posts mocking our relationship,’ Alissa said.
‘I feel like I have been professional, that is just immature. If you can’t say anything nice, keep your mouth shut, keep it to yourself.’
Alissa also paid tribute to late series expert Mel Schilling, who tragically died last week aged 54 following a long battle with bowel cancer, revealing she was still coming to terms with the shock news.
‘I haven’t had a time to process it all, it is quite confronting. Yesterday, I was catching up on some episodes and they had a tribute to Mel on. I cried for like two hours after it. She was just such a beautiful light,’ Alissa said.
‘Out of all the experts, I really connected with Mel. I just remember having a big hug with her, she told me I was amazing this season. It is just heartbreaking.’
She also knocked back recent media reports which claimed she was now dating a fellow Adelaide-native, Australian Ninja Warrior star Nathan Ryles, insisting they were just friends.
‘What is going on, all this speculation, he is engaged! I follow him and his fiancée Tori on social media. We are friends, Adelaide is a small place,’ she said.

‘Adelaide is just like that, everyone knows everyone! It is just noise.’
It comes after Alissa and David faced a difficult couch session during Sunday’s commitment ceremony.
Despite both choosing to stay in the experiment, David admitted to the experts that he felt he was carrying the bulk of the ’emotional weight’ in the relationship.
At the start of the season, David and Alissa looked like one of the strongest husband and wife teams on MAFS.
But recently, previously unseen footage revealed that severe cracks began to appear in the pair’s relationship during the couple’s retreat.
In the explosive clip, Alissa could be seen having a massive meltdown over their accommodation.
Upset that there were no blinds on the windows of their bedroom, Alissa hurled insults at her groom and criticised him for not solving the issue.

‘F*** you! I f***ing solve every f***ing problem! You p*** me off,’ she told a gobsmacked David, who calmly observed his bride.
Still, David stood his ground and told her not to ‘cancel’ him.
‘Don’t talk to me like that, please. Have some respect,’ he added.
The drama ended with Alissa storming out of the room and demanding to ‘sleep outside’.
David reviewed the hair-raising incident on the latest episode of Stan’s MAFS: After The Dinner Party, and revealed some behind-the-scenes details.
‘I have this thing where I have to be extra caring,’ he said, reflecting on the moment.
‘I feel like I was being respectful in the relationship because I knew that from past experiences, being toxic, teeing each other up by using rude words or whatever, it’s not healthy for a relationship.
‘So I try to be calm and reasoning… I feel like for [Alissa], she needed that up and down kind of a relationship.’
