Married at First Sight fans have taken to social media to weigh in on bride Jacqui Burfoot’s explosive Final Vows from Monday night.
The 29-year-old blasted her groom Ryan Donnelly, 36, telling him ‘in a world of red flags, you are the red carpet’.
But viewers appear to have firmly taken sides, accusing Jacqui of ‘fake’ behaviour after she stayed in her stormy marriage for the length of the season.
‘I think she should be the final nail in the coffin of MAFS,’ one angry viewer posted on an Instagram fan site.
‘They say this is an experiment yet never show us the experiment results? She sat on the last couch proclaiming her affection, she lied from start to finish to build a social media following.’
Another MAFS fan agreed: ‘BINGO!! You’re absolutely right. It has become increasingly sickening to watch. The worse the couples behave, the more viewers they garner. If this is entertainment, I’m out.’

One viewer also called out Jacqui’s behaviour during the season after forcing Ryan to stay in the experiment during the last commitment ceremony, after he wanted to leave.
‘Honestly this was her plan all along, beg him to stay so she can try and have an iconic’ moment,’ the viewer messaged.
Meanwhile, another said that they wanted to see Ryan walk out on her.
‘He didn’t need to hear what she had to say, it wasn’t worth it. Jacqui was so two faced and fake the whole season. Why stay for her speech!’
Still, while viewers clearly had issues with Jacqui, they praised MAFS 2025, singling out her marriage to Ryan as a highlight.
‘I have never encountered such an arrogant, self-obsessed princess, but brilliant tv for pure comedy value,’ joked one MAFS fan.
‘Jacqui’s vows are hilarious,’ agreed another.
The Final Vows segment with Jacqui and Ryan featured some of the most bizarre scenes the Nine series has ever seen, with Jacqui accusing Ryan of organising ‘a gang attack’ on her.

She then tore the groom down with several pages of lengthy vows before leaving him cussing her out at the altar while she promised to return with a new man.
‘There has been a lack of romance, a lack of effort from you, poor communication, no compromise, and dominance,’ Jacqui said in her speech.
‘You crossed a majority of my boundaries and your conduct fell well below the standard I’m willing to accept.
‘If this experiment taught me anything, it’s that you shouldn’t try and fix your husband. He needs to do the work on his own. I’m not a rehabilitation centre.’
At this point, Ryan burst out laughing: ‘That’s ridiculous, but go on,’ he said.
Jacqui, sporting a smirk as she watched her now ex-husband talk down on her vows, said: ‘Don’t call my final vows ridiculous, not nice.’
She continued with, ‘I don’t want to be spoken over when I try to speak,’ to which of course Ryan responded by immediately speaking over her with snide comments.
‘You’ve allowed your friends to scold me – yelling at and scolding adults is disgusting. You planned a gang attack on me.’
Ryan laughed at this comment, saying: ‘Good lord, a gang attack.’
Jacqui finished her vows: ‘As a man, you’re not perfect. It’s not the 1920s any more. I don’t want to be the wife to a man. I want to be a wife to a husband.
‘So, today, I choose peace and walk away from this relationship. Ryan, in a world of red flags, you are the red carpet.’
As Jacqui left Ryan at the altar, he called out to her: ‘Thanks for all the criticism. You really haven’t grown. Not one bit. Be gone with you, you horrible woman.’
But as producers pulled Ryan aside to listen to him trash talk his former TV wife, Jacqui was telling producers she had a feeling a new partner would come her way.
In a shocking ‘couple swap’ moment, Jacqui recently shacked up with co-star Clint Rice, who was originally paired up with Lauren Hall.
