Mariah Carey celebrated her “anniversary” in style.
For the “Touch My Body” singer’s 56th birthday — a day she has long referred to as her anniversary — on Thursday, she looked incredibly festive in a silver sequined dress, complete with sheer fabric that revealed her midriff.
Carey’s long wavy blond hair, which hit right above her waist, gave mermaid vibes as did the dress’ large paillettes.
Though the musician skipped a necklace and earrings, she glammed things up with a statement pinky ring and two glitzy diamond-encrusted bracelets.
“Celebratory moments from 3/27 🥂🦋,” Carey, looking radiant and ageless in the image, captioned an Instagram post.
“Wow Stunning, look gorgeous Darrrling, you look younger!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️” one fan commented, while another wrote, “Mermaid style 😍.”
Meanwhile, a third added, “if someone said this was from 2013 i would’ve believed them 😂”
And another said the outfit was “Giving glitter,” referring to her 2001 film and soundtrack of the same name.
Another fan account shared a video of Carey posing for the camera on the beach with fireworks going off in the background.
Carey layered a long silky bubblegum pink robe over the shimmering dress as she frolicked around near the water with a drink in hand.
“How is she aging backwards,” one user commented on the clip.
On her “anniversary,” Carey shared another image of herself cruising on a jet ski, which was a complete 180 from her fabulous sequin look in the following post.
“Thank you lambily for the anniversary wishes and for always making me so happy!!!🦋❤️,” Carey, who wore oversized pink aviator sunglasses and a safety vest for the excursion, wrote on Instagram.
