British sitcom favourite Richard O’Sullivan has died aged 82, the Royal Variety Charity confirmed on Friday. Close family were with him at Brinsworth House in Twickenham, west London, where he had lived since a stroke in 2003. ITV viewers of a certain age still know him as Robin Tripp, the trainee chef who shared a London flat with two women in Man About the House and later ran a bistro in Robin’s Nest.
